DISRUPTER AND AMMUNITION FOR NEUTRALIZING IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICES

A disrupter includes a barrel through which a projectile is fired, a barrel housing, at least one spring to absorb recoil energy, a frame and a stand on which the frame is supported. The barrel housing includes a sleeve to receive the barrel and allow movement of the barrel therethrough. The barrel may be selectively pivoted on the frame.

Aiming device for a weapon system comprising a weapon secured to a chassis and a method implementing such a device
11493300 · 2022-11-08 · ·

An aiming method for a weapon system including a weapon secured to a chassis, as well as an aiming device implementing such a method. The weapon system includes a computer having in an internal memory a nominal firing profile defined by the extreme elevation and relative bearing aiming instructions that are possible for the weapon, in the reference frame associated with the chassis, when the latter is in a firing position on a horizontal ground. The boundaries of the nominal firing profile are converted so as to determine a transformed firing profile which is delimited by the extreme directions of fire that are possible in the reference frame of the chassis when the latter is in the firing position on the field, and finally the operating firing profile is determined for the aiming, which is defined as the geometric intersection of the nominal firing profile and the transformed firing profile.

Event detection system having multiple sensor systems in cooperation with an impact detection system

A damage detection and remediation system includes a sensing device for detecting damage events related to a structure of interest. Such damage events may include impact from a ballistic object, a tamper event, a physical impact, or other events that may affect structural integrity or cause failure. Illustratively, the sensing device is in communication with a measurement system to determine damage criteria, and a processing system which is configured to use the damage criteria to determine, for example, a direction of the initiation point of a ballistic causing the damage event.

An automated weapon system is comprised of a human transported weapon comprising a barrel and munitions; sensing means; targeting means; computational logic for determining where to aim the human transported weapon; aim computational logic; firing activation means; and, firing means. The munitions can be aimed towards a targeting area to be propelled through the barrel. The sensing means senses which of up to a plurality of targets are within firing range of the automated weapon system. The targeting means selects a selected target from the targets in the targeting area that are within the firing range, responsive to the sensing. The computational logic determines where to aim the human transported weapon so that the munitions will hit the selected target if fired at a firing time. The aim computational logic adjusts the aim of the munitions through the human transported weapon, to compensate as needed for where the selected target is at the firing time, responsive to the determining where to aim. The firing activation means initiating firing of the munitions at the firing time. The firing means fires the munitions responsive to the adjusting the aim and the initiating firing.

ARMED AERIAL PLATFORM
20230264837 · 2023-08-24 ·

An armed aerial platform (100) includes a weapon for firing a projectile from a barrel (102) that defines a weapon axis (104). The weapon is supported by a single-axis gimbal mechanism (116) within a central vertical slot (112) in a rigid body (108) of a UAV (108) carried by a propulsion system (114) including at least four rotary propulsion units. The gimbal mechanism (116) provides an elevation adjustment of the weapon axis (104), while the azimuth adjustment is provided by motion of the UAV (108) itself.

SHOOTING REST AND SUPPORT SYSTEM

A shooting rest for different weapons provides ends that are offset from the central portion of the rest to provide a space that accommodates a portion of the weapon being used with the rest. The shooting rest can be used with one or two supports that engage the weapon being used with the rest. Each support includes pliable arms that can be configured by the user to a custom shape. Each arm has an inner member that can be bent with no or little spring back to allow the user to shape the arm to a desired configuration. When in use, the entire rest can be tilted about its main support. A support assembly includes an adjustable arm that carries the shooting rest from the top of a monopod that is anchored to allow repositionable use without interference with the hunter's legs.

ADJUSTABLE FIREARM STEADY REST

An adjustable shooting steady rest configured to clamp to a wide variety of structures. The steady rest includes a chassis with one or more clamps opposing a clamping bracket. The user places the chassis over a structure such as a safety bar or windowsill. The user then tightens the clamp(s) to lock the chassis in place. The chassis includes a rod receiver. A rod is adjustably attached to the rod receiver. A firearm support is provided on the upper portion of the rod.
