A method includes simultaneously controlling and sensing aerodynamic loading of a membrane wing using a capacitance of the membrane, the membrane wing stretching under aerodynamic load, leading to thinning of a membrane thickness and increased capacitance, and using knowledge of the membrane's elastic and dielectric material properties to determine an amount of steady aerodynamic lift being generated.

MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR INCLUDING ONE OR MORE FLOW DEFLECTORS FOR INHIBITING REVERSE AIRFLOW THROUGH THE MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR

A mass airflow sensor according to the present disclosure includes a housing, a sensor element, and a flow deflector. The housing defines an airflow passage configured to receive air flowing in a first direction. The sensor element is disposed in the airflow passage and generates a signal indicating a mass flow rate of air flowing through the airflow passage. The flow deflector is disposed in the airflow passage downstream of the sensor element, extends from an inner wall surface of the airflow passage, and is configured to inhibit air flow through the airflow passage in a second direction that is opposite of the first direction.

Meter tube assembly

A metering tube assembly for regulating flow of a fluid is disclosed. The metering tube assembly can include a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a plurality of stacked metering plates located between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, each of the plurality of stacked metering plates defining a fluid passageway having a length greater than a thickness of the metering plate, wherein the stacked metering plates are arranged such that a fluid flowing through the metering plates flows sequentially through the fluid passageways of the metering plates.

Vaporizer Devices

Vaporizer devices are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, a vaporizer device can include a vaporizer body including a first airflow path extending at least partially therethrough, and a sensor assembly residing at least partially within the vaporizer body. The sensor assembly includes a flexible sensor that is in communication with the first airflow path. The flexible sensor is configured to reversibly deflect from an initial state to a first state in response to a first user-activated force representing air being drawn through the first airflow path, and configured to reversibly deflect from the initial state to a second state in response to a second user-activated force representing an acceleration of the vaporizer body. Sensor assemblies for a vaporizer device are also provided.
