Drive device for carrying and operating a lockable insertion unit in a weighing balance
A drive device (125) is adapted for use in combination with a weighing balance (100). The drive device has a receiving unit (130), an insertion unit (U) and a locking unit (140). The receiving unit is configured to receive the insertion unit. The locking unit is movable between a locking position, in which the insertion unit is constrained from movement, and an unlocking position, in which the movement is not constrained. The locking unit is coupled to the receiving unit in a biasing manner to predispose the locking unit into the locking position. The locking unit is slidably engaged with the receiving unit to allow the locking unit to slide relative to the receiving unit when an external force is applied to move the locking unit into the unlocking position.
SLACK SEPARATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A dispersion feeder for distributing a product stream to a plurality of receiving devices arranged about the periphery of the dispersion feeder, the dispersion feeder comprising a dispersion table; wherein the dispersion table comprises: a product receiving region at the centre of the dispersion table configured to receive a product stream comprising product and slack, and a product dispensing region surrounding the product receiving region; wherein the dispersion table is configured to transfer the product radially from the product receiving region to the product dispensing region; characterised in that the dispersion table further comprises: one or more apertures extending through the dispersion table, the one or more apertures being positioned between the product receiving region and the product dispensing region.
WEIGHING METHOD WITH AUTOMATIC MICRO-CALIBRATION FUNCTION
A weighing method has an automatic micro-calibration function. In the method, an automatic adjustment is performed by a self-calibration weighing module. When the result of the adjustment does not meet a requirement, an automatic calibration is performed by the self-calibration weighing module, followed by weighing fine formulation materials. In the weighing method, the self-calibration module is used to perform the automatic calibration function to weigh the fine formulation materials. This provides a high degree of automation, and greatly reduced cost in equipment and labor for a formulating process, saving on time and labor, and with no risk of cross-contamination.

Apparatus for metering a substance
An apparatus for metering a substance into a target container includes a gripping tool, with which a metering tool can be picked up and released, and a scales. The metering tool is configured as an adhesive body which is wetted by a substance so that a small amount of substance measurable by the scales remains adhering to the metering tool. Once the desired amount of substance has been picked up with the metering tool, the latter, including the substance adhering thereto, is released into the target container. A controller controls the scales and the gripping tool and decides whether the amount of substance picked up by the metering tool is usable or whether more substance should be picked up or whether the metering tool should be discarded and somewhat less substance picked up with a fresh metering tool.

Dispersing tray and combination scale comprising the same
A dispersing tray is mounted to a combination scale at a top part thereof to disperse and deliver supplied articles outwardly. The dispersing tray has, on a back surface thereof, a liquid stopper that prevents outward movement of a liquid.
Material feeder system and method of use
This invention relates to a material feeder system and method of use. The present invention relates particularly to a particulate feeder system that includes, among other features, one or more: feeder assemblies for advancing material that incorporate a spool having a channel disposed within its outer circumference for advancing material, the spool having a plurality of circumferentially spaced contours configured so as to not form transverse barriers within the channel; motors configured to connect to the feeder assemblies; and scales for weighing advanced material. The system also includes a computer in communication with the one or more motors and scales, and capable of performing operations to advance a predetermined material weight as well as various related operations. The invention also includes a method using the above.
