Air quality measurement system, method and apparatus are described. The air quality measurement system is also referred to as air constituent measurement system. Various air-quality parameters such as, for example, particulate matter, SO2, NO2, CO, O3, H2S, CO2, HCL, NH3, CH4, VOC etc. can be measured.

Mold detecting device using pressure waves

A mold sensor is configured with an enclosed chamber in which a nutrient-treated substrate is positioned. The mold sensor includes a sensing system that is configured to measure properties of pressure waves within the enclosed chamber. A controller operates the sensing system and is programmed to detect a presence of mold growing in the chamber based on the characteristics of the pressure wave response within the chamber.

ELEMENTAL ANALYSIS DEVICE

A gas sampling apparatus including a housing having a housing wall and a housing opening. The gas sampling apparatus includes a sample system for extracting the gaseous sample, including a sample pipe having an opening enclosed by the housing wall and in fluid communication with the gaseous environment and filter means including a filter for filtering solid particles from the gaseous sample. The filter is enclosed by the housing wall and arranged at the opening. The gas sampling apparatus includes a central purge system to remove aggregates of solid particles deposited on one or more housing surfaces by a gaseous medium, wherein the central purge system includes a purge pipe including an outlet opening directed towards the housing opening and enclosed by the housing wall, wherein the sample system is arranged externally to the central purge system so that the sample pipe is separate from the purge pipe.

DILUTER, ANALYSIS SYSTEM, AND ANALYSIS METHOD
20230123798 · 2023-04-20 · ·

To uniformly dilute particulate matter contained in a sample gas, a diluter includes an inflow portion, a mixing portion, a discharge portion, a connection portion, and an introduction portion. The inflow portion allows a sample gas to flow in. The mixing portion has an inner diameter larger than that of the inflow portion, and mixes the sample gas with a dilution gas to generate a diluted sample gas. The discharge portion discharges the diluted sample gas. The connection portion has a first tapered part whose inner diameter increases from a side connected to the inflow portion toward a side connected to the mixing portion. The introduction portion introduces the dilution gas into an internal space from a position downstream of the connection between the first tapered part and the inflow portion.

MEMBRANE FOR COLLECTING AIRBORNE PARTICLES

A membrane for collecting airborne particles, the membrane taking the form of a strip composed of a matrix formed from a mixture of a polymer and of a filler that is made of an electrical conductor, a hydrophilic layer for collecting particles, on which layer is deposited said matrix so as to form at least one composite layer, the membrane including at least one region obtained via a surface treatment of the hydrophilic layer.

Devices and methods for quantifying nitric oxide

The present disclosure relates to methods, devices, and systems for measuring nitric oxide released from a material. For example, a method of measuring nitric oxide release from a material can include introducing a continuous flow of a carrier gas into a sample holding chamber via a carrier gas inlet at an effective flow rate, introducing an amount of the nitric oxide releasing material into the sample holding chamber via a separate sample inlet to contact the continuous flow of the carrier gas, directing the carrier gas and released nitric oxide out of the sample holding chamber via a nitric oxide outlet toward a nitric oxide detector, and quantifying an amount of released nitric oxide using the nitric oxide detector.
