The invention disclosed herein relates to a dry sensor for measuring the concentration of an analyte in a liquid beverage sample. Described herein is a novel dry sensor which is able to receive a liquid sample and adjust the pH of the liquid to be suitable for assaying an analyte of interest without the need to add reagents to the sample and/or to perform manually timed operations and able to detect a redox reaction in the presence of a liquid sample. The meter disclosed herein, when connected to the sensor disclosed herein is able to adjust the temperature of the liquid to be suitable for the assay, apply a series of potentials, measure the current at several times, measure the diffusion coefficient of the limiting electrochemical species, calculate the concentration of one or more analytes, and rapidly provide the user with the required information on the liquid sample.

Method for Measuring Humidity

A device and method for measuring humidity of a constant flowing sample gas of a combustion process includes transporting the sample gas at a specific temperature above the dew point temperature to a cooling-region having a temperature equal to or lower than a temperature at which water in the sample gas condenses, cooling the sample gas in the cooling-region to at least the condensation temperature, so that water condenses, purging the condensate, determining the temperature of a position in a condensation-region of the cooling-region, and calculating the humidity content of the sample gas based on the determined temperature using calibration data.

The invention relates to a photometer (30) for analysing the composition of a sample gas. The photometer comprises an infra-red (IR) source (20) configured to direct a first plurality of pulses (40) of IR radiation through the sample gas to an IR detector (26), at least two of the first plurality of pulses being of different wavelength. The photometer further comprises an ultraviolet (UV) source (32) configured to generate a second plurality of pulses (38) of UV radiation for conveyance to a UV detector (36), at least two of the second plurality of pulses being of different wavelength. A path selection arrangement (22, 42-50) is configured to selectively convey different ones of the second plurality of pulses (38) to one of the sample gas and the UV detector (36). The photometer further comprises processing circuitry coupled to the IR source (20), the UV source (32), the IR detector (26), the UV detector (36) and the path selection arrangement (22, 42-50). The processing circuitry is configured to (i) select the wavelength to be used for a given UV pulse of the second plurality of pulses (38), (ii) receive a plurality of detection signals from each of the IR detector (26) and the UV detector (36) and (iii) based on the detection signals, determine a concentration of at least one component of the sample gas. A method for analysing the composition of a sample gas is also disclosed.

The acquiring section may acquire a concentration measurement value of a precursor gas which becomes a raw material which generates the particle component, and a concentration measurement value of a secondary generated particle component which is generated from the precursor gas.
