Housing for flexible fuel sensor and method of use
A housing for a flexible fuel sensor and method of use is disclosed. The housing comprises of a first chamber, a second chamber, and bypass passageway extending therebetween. The first chamber is configured to receive and hold the first conduit of the flexible fuel sensor. The second chamber is configured to receive and hold the second conduit of the flexible fuel sensor. The bypass passageway is configured to permit fuel to flow therethrough and thereout.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING FUEL QUALITY AND SERVICE ISSUES FOR A POWER SYSTEM USED IN TRANSPORT
A method for monitoring fuel quality of a power system used in transport is provided. The method includes a controller of the power system determining that the prime mover is actively running. The method also includes the controller monitoring an output of a water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor configured to measure an amount of water accumulated in a water collection reservoir of a fuel/water separator that separates water from fuel passing there through. Also, the method includes the controller determining an amount of fuel passing through the fuel/water separator. Further, the method includes the controller calculating a fuel quality score of the fuel based on the output of the WIF sensor and the amount of fuel having passed through the fuel/water separator. The method further includes the controller triggering different alerts based on the calculated fuel quality score.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HOLISTIC LOW CARBON INTENSITY FUEL PRODUCTION
Systems and methods to provide low carbon intensity (CI) transportation fuels through one or more targeted reductions of carbon emissions based upon an analysis of carbon emissions associated with a combination of various options for feedstock procurement, feedstock refining, processing, or transformation, and fuel product distribution pathways to end users. Such options are selected to maintain the total CI (carbon emissions per unit energy) of the transportation fuel below a pre-selected threshold that defines an upper limit of CI for the transportation fuel.

Methods and sensors for detection
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for methods of detecting, sensors (e.g., chromogenic sensor), kits, compositions, and the like that related to or use tunable macroporous polymer. In an aspect, tunable macroporous materials as described herein can be used to determine the presence of a certain type(s) and quantity of liquid in a liquid mixture.
Abnormality determination device of fuel property sensor and method of determining abnormality of the same
An abnormality determination device is applied to an electrostatic capacitance type fuel property sensor that has a sensing section that senses an electrostatic capacitance of a fuel to be detected. The abnormality determination device of the fuel property sensor acquires a first output that is an output when a predetermined voltage is applied to the sensing section and a second output that is an output when a voltage is not applied to the sensing section. The acquired first output and second output are compared and whether or not the fuel property sensor is abnormal is determined.
PORTABLE SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING MONOETHYLENE GLYCOL
The present invention discloses a portable system comprised of an electrochemical cell for batch injection analysis (BIA) coupled to a copper oxide electrode for the selective determination and quantification of monoethylene glycol (MEG) from different petrochemical samples with application in the environment laboratory and in field analyses, aiming at the quality control of these samples by portable methodology and in a short analysis time.
TEST STRIPS FOR DETERMINING THE CONCENTRATION OF A COMPONENT IN A LIQUID COMPOSITION
A test strip for determining the concentration of a component in a liquid composition is disclosed. The test strip comprises a carrier sheet coated with a layer of an adsorbent, and a chemical dye deposited on the test strip near but spaced apart from a bottom edge of the test strip. In some embodiments, the test strip is a thin-layer chromatography (TLC) plate, and the retention factor of the chemical dye varies according to the concentration of the component in the liquid composition. A user can determine the concentration of the component based on the migration distance of the chemical dye on the test strip in a chromatography process. The test strip can be used to perform a fast and visual test to determine the ethanol content in a fuel sample.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LUBRICANT DILUTION DETECTION
Systems and methods for lubricant dilution detection are disclosed. A method for detecting lubricant dilution for a lubrication system includes detecting a low idle condition. The method includes receiving sensed values indicative of lubricant pressure and lubricant temperature during the low idle condition. The method also includes determining a lubricant pressure threshold based on the sensed value indicative of lubricant temperature. The method further includes determining lubricant dilution based on the sensed value indicative of lubricant pressure and the determined lubricant pressure threshold during the low idle condition. In accordance with a determination that there is lubricant dilution, the method includes outputting an indication of the lubricant dilution.
Fuel property measuring device
A measuring device for measuring a property of fuel supplied from a fuel tank to a combustion apparatus, may comprise a fuel pump that sucks the fuel in a fuel tank and pumps the fuel toward a combustion apparatus, a fuel discharging portion that discharges the fuel from the fuel pump into the fuel tank, a fuel-measuring storage chamber that receives the fuel discharged from the fuel discharging portion and a pair of electrodes disposed within the fuel-measuring storage chamber so as to measure capacitance.
