Power tool
A power tool includes a case, a motor, a plurality of Hall effect sensors, a first circuit board, and a second circuit board. The Hall effect sensors detect a position of a rotor of the motor and correspondingly generate position signals. A plurality of commutating switches and a first controller are disposed on the first circuit board. A second controller is disposed on the second circuit board, and could transmit a driving signal to the first controller according to the operating signal of an operator interface. The first controller regulates the commutating switches to commutate according to the driving signal and the position signals, thereby to activate the rotor to rotate. With such design, a commutation process and a user operating process are regulated by the two different controllers, which could efficiently simplify the program code installed in each of the controllers and facilitate the maintenance of the controllers.

The invention relates to a rotary machine comprising a stator and a rotatably mounted rotor, with one or more magnetic field sensors arranged stationary relative to the stator at a radial distance from a stationary axis, at least one measuring device which configured to detect magnetic field changes with the aid of the aforementioned magnetic field sensors, a rotor which is configured to generate one or more electrical signals in each case, said signals having signal components which correspond to the rotor rotation frequency and to the distance between magnetic field sensor and rotor in each case, wherein a demodulator unit carries out a demodulation of signals generated by or derived from the magnetic field sensors, such that a signal is generated which corresponds to the distance between the rotor and the magnetic field sensor.
Digital phase tracking filter for position sensing
A position sensor device includes position sensor elements for generating analog sense signals. A digitization circuit is provided for a digital signal representative of the input phase based on the analog sense signals and a digital processing unit. An output signal is indicative of the position based on the first output of the processing unit. The processing unit comprises an error signal generator for computing an error signal indicative of a phase difference between the digital signal and a feedback signal. A digital filter filters the error signal to generate the first output. A feedback path provides the feedback signal based on the first output and a filter selector to select a filter to be applied from different filters. At least one input on which a common filter circuit operates is scaled differently for each of the different filters to select different filter bandwidths.

A plurality of magnetic speed probes, each of which is configured to sense the rotational frequency of the rotatable member, are arranged in transmissive proximity with one another. A transmitter-configured one of the plurality of magnetic speed probes includes a signal coupler that couples an electrical signal generated by a radio-frequency signal generator into the inductive coil of the transmitter-configured magnetic speed probe, thereby radiatively transmitting an electromagnetic signal. A speed-probe monitor electrically coupled to each of the plurality of magnetic speed probes determines, based on the coil current sensed by each of the plurality of magnetic speed probes in response to the electromagnetic signal radiatively transmitted, health of the system.
