Embodiments herein relate to ear-worn devices that can be used to locate other devices such as mobile electronic devices. In a first aspect, an ear-worn device is included having a control circuit, a microphone in electrical communication with the control circuit, an electroacoustic transducer for generating sound in electrical communication with the control circuit, a motion sensor in electrical communication with the control circuit, and a power supply circuit in electrical communication with the control circuit, wherein the ear-worn device is configured to issue a location command to a mobile electronic device and wherein the location command triggers the mobile electronic device to emit a locating signal. Other embodiments are also included herein.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EFFICIENT ASSISTANCE DATA TRANSFER IN NR POSITIONING
Provided herein is a method of performing, by a first apparatus, wireless communication. The method may include the steps of receiving configuration related to a downlink (DL) positioning reference signal (PRS) from a location management function (LMF); receiving configuration related to an uplink (UL) PRS from a base station; and performing positioning based on round trip time (RTT), based on the configuration related to the DL PRS and the configuration related to the UL PRS.
Organic navigational beacons
Navigation beacons may be trained to receive signals of opportunity from one or more vehicles, to recognize their own position based on such signals, and to transmit information regarding their own position to one or more other vehicles accordingly. The navigation beacons may be of small size and feature a basic construction including one or more transceivers, power sources and the like, and may communicate via a Bluetooth® Low Energy, Ultra Wideband or long-range low-power wireless standard, or any other standard. The navigation beacons may be installed in any location, preferably being mounted to one or more existing fixed structures or facilities (e.g., transportation structures or facilities), and may operate in active and/or passive modes when learning their positions or servicing position information to one or more remote devices.
Position detection system and processing device
A position detection system includes: a first device that is separate from a moving object, and is provided such that a position of the first device can be specified; and a second device that is mounted on the moving object. One of the first and second devices includes a first signal transmission unit that transmits a first first-signal, the other of the first and second devices includes a first signal reception unit that receives the first first-signal, one of the first and second devices includes a second signal transmission unit that transmits a first second-signal, and the other of the first and second devices includes a second signal reception unit that receives the first second-signal.
AUTO-LOCATION METHOD AND SYSTEM USING RADIOELECTRIC SIGNALS, CORRESPONDING PROGRAM AND PROGRAM MEDIUM
An auto-location method for electronic equipment items provided with a transmitter/receiver of radioelectric signals, includes the steps of: establishing a list of the equipment items with their relative position and the measurements of distances between the equipment items, detecting, using the list, at least one non-measured distance between a first equipment item and a second equipment item, the transmitter/receiver of which has a plurality of available operating modes, changing the operating mode of the transmitter/receiver of the second equipment item and attempting to measure the distance between the first equipment item and the second equipment item, and updating the list with the last distance measured. A system and a program implement this method.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A communication device includes: a control unit configured to control a process of transmitting a first ranging signal, receiving a second ranging signal transmitted as a response to the first ranging signal from another communication device receiving the first ranging signal, and transmitting a data signal including regulation information regarding a transmission time of the first ranging signal and a reception time of the second ranging signal, wherein the data signal is transmitted and received in conformity with a first wireless communication standard, and wherein the first and second ranging signals are transmitted and received in conformity with a second wireless communication standard more appropriate for ranging than the first wireless communication standard.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND POSITION IDENTIFICATION METHOD
A communication device includes: a plurality of wireless communication units configured to perform wireless communication with another communication device; and a control unit configured to identify position information indicating a position at which the other communication device is located on the basis of at least three distance measurement results indicating a distance between each of at least three wireless communication units and the other communication device obtained in accordance with a result of wireless communication performed by each of the at least three wireless communication units among the plurality of wireless communication units.
ASSISTED PARKING OF ELECTRICAL VEHICLE AT CHARGING STATION
A vehicle includes a charging port for connection to a charging cable capable of delivering electricity to the vehicle, and an ultra-wide band (UWB) transceiver module. The UWB transceiver module includes a master node and at least three antenna nodes. The at least three antenna nodes are deployed at correspondingly diverse locations in the vehicle at fixed distances from the charging port. The master node is configured to determine a position of an UWB antenna or tag external to the vehicle relative to the locations of the at least three antenna nodes and the charging port.
Safety system and method using a safety system
