The temperature recording device can comprise a filter for filtering the electromagnetic radiation.
Filter unit, filter selection method, and imaging device
The present disclosure relates to a filter unit, a filter selection method, and an imaging device that allow continuously changing a transmittance of an ND filter and switching between filters to be performed more easily. A disk provided with a plurality of filters including an ND filter having a continuously variable transmittance is rotated to cause a filter corresponding to a rotational orientation of the disk among the plurality of filters provided on the disk to be arranged on an optical axis of incident light toward an image sensor. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a filter unit, an imaging device, electronic equipment, a filter selection method, a program, or the like.
Method and Master for Producing a Volume Hologram
A method for producing a volume hologram with at least one first area in a first color and at least one second area in a second color includes, providing a volume hologram layer made of a photopolymer; arranging a master with a surface structure on the volume hologram layer; exposing the master using coherent light, wherein light which is incident on at least one first partial area of the surface of the master is diffracted or reflected in the direction of the at least one first area of the volume hologram layer and light which is incident on at least one second partial area of the surface of the master is diffracted or reflected in the direction of the at least one second area of the volume hologram, and wherein the light diffracted or reflected by the first and second partial areas differs in at least one optical property.
Multichannel, multi-polarization imaging for improved perception
In one embodiment, a method includes accessing first image data generated by a first image sensor having a first filter array that has a first filter pattern. The first filter pattern includes a number of first filter types. The method also includes accessing second image data generated by a second image sensor having a second filter array that has a second filter pattern different from the first filter pattern. The second filter pattern includes a number of second filter types, the number of second filter types and the number of first filter types have at least one filter type in common. The method also includes determining a correspondence between one or more first pixels of the first image data and one or more second pixels of the second image data based on a portion of the first image data associated with the filter type in common.
Methods and systems for efficient separation of polarized UV light
Methods and systems are provided for separating polarized UV light. In one example, a method may include passing polarized source light through a first prism, the polarized source light including desired light and undesired light, separating the desired light from the fundamental light, and passing the separated desired light through a second prism. The separated desired light which is passed through the second prism may then be further passed through a spatial filter.
Optical test apparatus and optical test method
An optical test apparatus includes a light convergence element, an optical filter, and an image sensor. The light convergence element converges light from a subject. The optical filter is arranged on an optical axis of the light convergence element. The image sensor is arranged in an effective region not crossing the optical axis of the light convergence element, and receives light passing through the light convergence element and the optical filter.
Attenuation of light transmission artifacts in wearable displays
A wearable display system includes an eyepiece stack having a world side and a user side opposite the world side, wherein during use a user positioned on the user side views displayed images delivered by the system via the eyepiece stack which augment the user's view of the user's environment. The wearable display system also includes an angularly selective film arranged on the world side of the of the eyepiece stack. The angularly selective film includes a polarization adjusting film arranged between pair of linear polarizers. The linear polarizers and polarization adjusting film significantly reduces transmission of visible light incident on the angularly selective film at large angles of incidence without significantly reducing transmission of light incident on the angularly selective film at small angles of incidence.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SPECTRALLY SHAPING A LASER BEAM
An optical apparatus for spectrally shaping a laser beam within a fiber MOPA laser is disclosed. The apparatus includes a birefringent optic and a linear polarizer. The laser beam is divided between two orthogonal polarization axes of the birefringent optic having polarization mode dispersion. Propagation of the laser beam through the birefringent optic causes a wavelength-dependent phase shift between components of the laser beam in the two polarization axes. A polarizing direction of the polarizer is oriented between the two polarization axes. Propagation of the polarization-dispersed laser beam through the polarizer modulates the power spectral density of a transmitted portion of the laser beam. This spectral modulation can be tuned to shape a Gaussian spectral distribution from the master oscillator into a uniform spectral distribution for amplification by the power amplifier. The uniform spectrally-shaped laser beam can be amplified to higher powers than the original Gaussian laser beam.

The pixel island array is configured to display a plurality of sub-original images. The first microlens array is configured to converge light emitted from the plurality of sub-original images so as to obtain imaging light, and the imaging light is capable of forming a first virtual image. The second lens is on a user viewing side of the display panel relative to the first microlens array, and the second lens is configured to converge the imaging light so as to obtain a second virtual image. The first virtual image is a virtual image in which the plurality of sub-original images are stitched and enlarged, and the second virtual image is an enlarged virtual image of the first virtual image.
