Obstruction free softbox
11281073 · 2022-03-22 · ·

A softbox for use with a light source has structures to collapse the softbox. These structures include a ring-support assembly. The ring support assembly includes a support ring and a light ring, both of which couple to frame arm assembly. The frame arm assembly supports the material of the softbox. When the support ring and light ring are separated, the frame collapses. The structures of the light box may be entirely disposed outside of the direct path of the light source to the target, facilitating, in part, the softbox being integrated with other light manipulating devices proximal to the light source.

Flash housing and a method for controlling a flash light by manual rotation of a zoom element
11061300 · 2021-07-13 · ·

A flash housing for photographic purposes and method for controlling a flash light is disclosed. The flash housing comprises a flash forming element arranged to generate a flash light. The flash housing further comprises a lens element having a substantially circular cross-section and being arranged to let at least part of the generated flash light out of the flash housing so as to obtain the flash. The flash housing further comprises a zoom element rotatably arranged at least partly along the circumference of the lens element. The zoom element is operatively connected to the flash forming element so as to control movement of the flash forming element by manual rotation of the zoom element.

An imaging system having a forward and rearward orientation and comprising: (a) one or more parabolic reflectors having a base, a focus, and a reflector axis, said one or more parabolic reflectors defining a central reflector axis; (b) at least one a light source disposed near or essentially at said focus of each of said one or more parabolic reflectors forward of its base; and (c) an imaging device disposed within said one or more parabolic reflectors, and comprising a zooming lens having an optical axis essentially coincident with said central reflector axis.

Light reflection

The description relates to devices that emit light from a light source. One example device can include a reflector extending along an arc and oriented in light receiving relation relative to the light source. The reflector can have a cross-sectional reflector profile taken transverse to the arc that includes a first portion having a swept profile that transitions to a second portion having a reverse swept profile.
