COUNTER PRESSURE VALVE ARRANGEMENT
20230221737 · 2023-07-13 ·

A counter pressure valve arrangement for controlling a pressure level of a hydraulic fluid in a return line from a hydraulic actuator arrangement. The counter pressure valve arrangement comprises a counter pressure valve having: a moveable valve member; a counter pressure regulating port configured for being connected to the hydraulic actuator arrangement via the return line; a tank port configured for being connected to a tank or low pressure reservoir for storing low pressure hydraulic fluid; and a pump port configured for being connected to a source of pressurised hydraulic fluid. A first position of the valve member effects fluid communication between the pump port and the counter pressure regulating port for supplying pressurised hydraulic fluid to the return line, and a second position of the valve member effects fluid communication between the counter pressure regulating port and the tank port for discharging hydraulic fluid from the return line to the tank.

A coaxial gas valve assembly includes a gas inlet, a gas outlet, a valve tube, and a shaft member. A main valve is movable between a closed position and an open position (broadly, openable and closable). A main spring is positioned to resiliently bias the main valve in its closed position. A redundant valve is movable between a closed position and an open position (broadly, openable and closable). A redundant spring is positioned to resiliently bias the redundant valve in its closed position. A solenoid coil is positioned to electromagnetically move the shaft member within the valve tube. A balance diaphragm is connected to the valve tube. A gas path through at least the valve tube allows gas flow from a first side of the balance diaphragm to a second side of the balance diaphragm to reduce a pressure difference between the first and second sides of the balance diaphragm.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PRIMING CLUTCHES OF AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WHEN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS IN PARK

A transmission hydraulic control system includes a manual valve, a default valve, and a clutch prime valve. The manual valve allows fluid flow from a pressurized line to a drive line when the manual valve is open (when a transmission is in drive or reverse). The manual valve prevents fluid flow from the pressurized line to the drive line when the manual valve is closed (when the transmission is in neutral or park). The clutch prime valve allows fluid to flow from the pressurized line to the drive line, and thereby bypass the manual valve, when the manual valve is closed and the clutch prime valve is open. The default valve allows fluid bypassing the manual valve to flow to prime a clutch of the transmission when the default valve is open. The clutch prime valve prevents fluid from bypassing the manual valve when the clutch prime valve is closed.
