Systems and methods for a reverse thermostat
Various embodiments of a reverse thermostat for use in restricting hot water in a plumbing system from being delivered to cold water fixtures are disclosed.
TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLING WATER VALVE
A temperature-controlling water valve is provided. An adjusting assembly is assembled within the water valve and includes an adjusting member, a first elastic member, a blocking member and an abutting member. The first elastic member biases the abutting member, and the blocking member is fixed to the adjusting member to block the abutting member from detaching from a receiving hole of the adjusting member. A temperature-controlling assembly includes a valve member and a second elastic member biasing the valve member. Thermal expansion or contraction of a rod member of the valve member drives the valve member to move so that an overlapping area of the valve member and a first passageway of the water valve and an overlapping area of the valve member and a second passageway of the water valve change.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED HEAT EXCHANGER BYPASS FOR AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
Various disclosed embodiments include oil systems, electric motors, and vehicles. In an illustrative embodiment an electrical motor system includes an oil reservoir, a motor, and an oil delivery system. The oil reservoir is configured to hold oil therein. The oil delivery system includes a heat exchanger. The oil delivery system is configured to operate in a low-temperature mode, bypassing the heat exchanger, while the oil temperature is below a first predetermined temperature; operate in a high-temperature mode, directing oil traversing the oil delivery system through the heat exchanger while the oil temperature is above a second predetermined temperature; and operate in an intermediate-temperature mode, partially bypassing the heat exchanger while the oil temperature is between the first predetermined temperature and the second predetermined temperature.
Thermostatic valve for motor vehicle
A thermostatic valve including a closed hollow body, a first opening and a second opening in the body, a stopper separating the first opening from the second opening, a thermostatic actuator capable of opening the stopper and a biasing member capable of closing the stopper, wherein the stopper includes a movable cage capable of sliding in relation to a fixed cage along an axis substantially coinciding with the axis of the thermostatic actuator, the movable cage or the fixed cage having at least one port, and the relative movement of the movable cage in relation to the fixed cage allowing the at least one port (8, 80) to be selectively closed or opened, and in that the movable cage is made of plastics.
Regulating method for a heating and/or cooling system with at least one load circuit
A regulating method for a heating and/or cooling system uses at least one load circuit (6), through which a fluid as a heat transfer medium flows and switches the at least one load circuit (6) on and off in dependence on a room temperature in a room to be thermally regulated by the at least one load circuit (6). A feed temperature (T.sub.mix) of the fluid fed to the at least one load circuit (6) is set in dependence on the relative switch-on duration (D) of the at least one load circuit (6). A manifold device is also provided for a heating and/or cooling system with a control device for carrying out such a regulating method.
Thermostatic bypass valve
A thermostatic bypass valve functions to regulate fluid temperature and also to act as a pressure relief valve using a single valve bore. The poppet valve includes a cylinder with a chamber that is thermally immersed in a source passageway such that the valve state is determined by the temperature of the fluid flowing through the source passageway as opposed to the fluid flowing through a return passageway. When the fluid in the source passageway is hot, a poppet is forced against the return passageway side of a valve seat. The poppet may either be rigidly attached to the cylinder or may slide with respect to the cylinder and be forced against the valve seat by a spring. A piston may either be rigidly attached to the housing or may be forced toward the valve seat by a spring.
THERMAL BYPASS VALVE
A thermal bypass valve includes a housing defining a bore along a longitudinal axis and having two inlet ports and two outlet ports; a cap disposed within the bore; a shuttle disposed within the bore and reversibly translatable towards and away from the cap along the longitudinal axis between a first fill position, a cooling position, and a bypass position; and an actuator configured for translating the shuttle along the longitudinal axis between the cooling position and the bypass position. The actuator is formed from a shape memory alloy and is transitionable between a first state and a second state in response to a temperature of the fluid.
THERMOSTATIC DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE FLOW OF A FLUID, AND THERMOSTATIC VALVE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE
A thermostatic element, a main seal, that can be moved axially relative to a fixed seat to open and close a main valve and linked to the movable part of the thermostatic element to open the main valve, the main seal and the thermostatic element assembled together and forming a first module. A spring biasing the movable part towards the fixed part of the thermostatic element, controlling the closing of the main valve. A bracket supporting the spring and interposed axially between the spring and a fixed casing. A support cradle supporting the first module, removably inserting the first module therein, by axially interposing the cradle between the first module and the spring, including a by-pass seal, that is axially movable relative to a fixed seat of the bracket so as to open/close a by-pass valve when the main valve is opened/closed, and linked to the bracket in an axially movable manner, with the spring interposed axially and held fixedly to the bracket to keep the spring in the compressed state between them.
Radical Polymerization Method and Polymerization Reaction Apparatus
A radical polymerization method that enables synthesis, at a high conversion rate, of polymers having a relatively uniform molecular weight and is applicable to various monomers, and an apparatus used for the method. A reaction solution containing monomer and initiator is continuously or intermittently circulated in the apparatus and is heated in a heating-initiation unit to a predetermined temperature simultaneously across a radial direction of a cross section of the flow path whereby the initiator located in a particular volume of the reaction solution is cleaved all at once. The apparatus includes a heating medium production unit 10, a heating medium-reaction solution mixing unit 20, a cooling unit 30, and a recovery unit 40 for a reaction mixture, all communicatively connected by the flow path and optionally a heating reaction unit 60, a cooling unit 70, and a recovery unit 80, all communicatively connected by the flow path.
