ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLABLE VALVES AND MIXING VALVES
20230221739 · 2023-07-13 ·

Two problems with existing electronically controlled mixing valves for domestic use is their size and difficulty accessing and repairing them. Their size means that they often become hidden behind wall linings, and because of the way in which they are plumbed into the pipework of a house, they are difficult to access and remove for repair or replacement. Disclosed is a compact and replaceable mixing valve cartridge that can be mated to a fixed fitting that is permanently plumbed into the pipework of a house. The compact size allows the cartridge to be positioned behind the type of removable face plates that are often installed over existing manually operated mixing valves. Simplified valve actuators and a compact mixing and temperature sensing configuration have facilitated the compact size. The valve cartridge can simply be accessed, unbolted and removed, without the need for extensive plumbing re-work.

Metered dispense pot filler

A pot filler including a metered dispense input device for dispensing of predetermined volumes of water. The pot filler illustratively includes an electrically operable valve operably coupled to a metered dispense input unit, and a control module configured to control operation of the electrically operable valve.

Thermostatic valve

A thermostatic valve includes a valve body formed by die casting. The valve body includes: a valve main body forming a valve cavity; a plurality of connection tube portions; and installation base portions adjacent to the connection tube portions. Each of the connection tube portions includes a straight tube section connected to the valve main body. A reinforcement member is provided between the straight tube section of the connection tube portion and the installation base portion adjacent to the connection tube portion. The valve body is formed by die casting, and respective parts of the valve body can be processed according to actual size requirements with no redundant material, thereby realizing a light weight of the thermostatic valve. Providing the reinforcement member satisfies a strength requirement when using die casting.

Thermostatic cartridge

The thermostatic cartridge includes: a cartridge body, inside which are delimited a chamber, a hot and cold fluid inlet passages and a mixed fluid outlet passage; a slide valve regulating the temperature of the mixed fluid, movable along an axis to close, in inverse proportions, the inlet passages; a thermostatic element, a mechanism for adjusting a thermostatic regulation temperature, which is, in a usage configuration, mechanically connected to the body to set, and by actuation, to modify the position of the piston of the thermostatic element along the axis; and a control member rotationally mounted on the body so as to, in the usage configuration, actuate it when the control member is rotationally driven in between positions associated with extreme low and high values of the thermostatic regulation temperature. When the control member is driven past a first position, the adjustment mechanism is disconnected from the body or control member.

Device for a valve system and use thereof

Device for a valve system, comprising: a housing with a seat for being coupled to a base and exchanging water streams when the housing is in a first coupling position, the seat comprising a first seat opening fluidly connecting to a first base opening when the housing is in the first coupling position; an adjuster which is contained inside the housing for adjusting the flow rate of one of the water streams; and a controller for controlling the adjuster. To avoid any complications in the event of an error while making the system more versatile, the seat comprises a breakable portion which can be broken off from the seat to enable it to be coupled in a second coupling position, the first seat opening subsequently fluidly connecting to a second base opening.

A VALVE

A sanitary faucet having a faucet body; a mixing valve for mixing cold water and warm water to form a mixed water; and a thermostatic mixing valve for mixing cold and hot water to generate the warm water, containing an expansion material element and a gate valve operated by the expansion material element for adjusting a mixing ratio between the cold water and the hot water, wherein the expansion material element and the gate valve are arranged non-coaxially to each other, wherein the expansion material element can be used to operate the gate valve via a connection element, and wherein the connection element can be attached to the gate valve or the expansion material element and can subsequently be rotated into a closed position, in which the gate valve and the expansion material element are interconnected by the connection element. A method of installing a sanitary faucet is proposed.

Mixing cartridge having a vortex element

The invention relates to a mixing cartridge (1) for generating mixed water with a mixing temperature, having a hot water inlet (2) for hot water, having a cold water inlet (3) for cold water, having a mixing chamber (4), in which the hot and cold water can be mixed, and having a mixed water outlet (5) through which the mixed water can leave the mixing cartridge (1). According to the invention, the mixing cartridge (1) has at least one vortex element (6), which is arranged and/or designed in such a way that the water flowing through the mixing cartridge in a flow direction can be made to rotate, such that the water can form a water vortex.
