Brake pedal lever tip peg for motorcycle
A motorcycle brake pedal lever includes a rod connected to a motorcycle and a base is connected to the rod. The base includes a bore. A pivotal member includes a first pivot and a second pivot extending toward different directions. The first pivot is pivotably connected to the bore of the base so that the pivotal member is pivotable about the first pivot. A peg includes a space formed therein, and the second pivot of the pivotal member is pivotably engaged with the space by a pin so that the peg is pivotable about pin and the second pivot. Multiple torsion springs are respectively mounted to the first and second. The torsion springs respectively contact the pivotal member, the base and the peg. The peg is returned relative to the pivotal member, and the pivotal member is returned relative to the base by the torsion springs.
Pedal Assembly With Integrated Disable Switch And System Using Same
A pedal assembly with integrated disable switch for turning off the engine of an automobile or other motorized transport which may be activated by the driver's foot. The disable switch may be triggered by the raising of the foot while in place on the accelerator pedal. The disable switch may include detent positions including a first detent position which allows for engine function, and a second detent position after activation of the disable functionality such that the switch is not easily deactivated once activated. The disable switch may comprise a switch lever arm above the driver's foot, which is coupled to the main accelerator pedal extension lever. The disable switch may include a mechanically activated switch which is activated by relative motion of the switch lever arm relative to the main accelerator pedal extension lever.
Brake pedal assembly
A pedal assembly mounted to a vehicle includes, a pedal arm having an upper portion and a lower portion and a striker bracket pivotally connected to the upper portion of the pedal arm where the striker bracket further removably connected to the lower portion of the pedal arm. A first positioned is defined before a collision where the striker bracket is connected to the lower portion of the pedal arm. A second positioned is defined after a collision where the striker bracket rotates away from the lower portion of the pedal arm.
OPERATIVE PEDAL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Provided is a vehicular operation pedal device having a fail-safe function to prevent backward movement of a step portion of an operation pedal mechanism at the time of a vehicle collision. A brake pedal device (1) includes a protrusion (90) which performs rotation restriction for preventing a rotating member (50) from rotating about a rotating shaft portion (14), and on which a restricting load (F2) acts by the rotation restriction. During the rotation restriction by the protrusion (90), a second load acts as the restricting load (F2) when a step portion (24) of an operation pedal mechanism (20) is fully stepped forward of a vehicle, and when the restricting load (F2) is greater than the second load, the rotation restriction is released due to deformation of the protrusion (90) by shearing or bending.
Vehicular operation pedal device
A brake pedal device includes: a pedal bracket fixed to a dash panel; an operation pedal mechanism having a step portion rotatable with respect to the pedal bracket and in which the step portion is stepped forward of a vehicle; a rotating member having a bent portion, a front end portion, and an upper end portion, and rotatably supported with respect to the operation pedal mechanism by a rotating shaft portion at the bent portion; a connecting pin and a clevis that rotatably hold a tip portion of an operating rod projecting rearward of the vehicle from the dash panel with respect to the rotating member, at the front end portion of the rotating member; and a caulking pin that fixes the rotating member and the operation pedal mechanism, at the bent portion of the rotating member.

VEHICULAR OPERATION PEDAL DEVICE
Provided is a vehicular operation pedal device having a small number of parts required for preventing backward movement of a step portion of an operation pedal mechanism at the time of a vehicle collision. A brake pedal device 1 includes: a pedal bracket 10 fixed to a dash panel P; an operation pedal mechanism 20 having a step portion 24 rotatable with respect to the pedal bracket 10 and in which the step portion 24 is stepped forward of a vehicle; a rotating member 50 having a bent portion 52, a front end portion 54, and an upper end portion 56, and rotatably supported with respect to the operation pedal mechanism 20 by a rotating shaft portion 14 at the bent portion 52; a connecting pin 70 and a clevis 72 that rotatably hold a tip portion 62 of an operating rod 60 projecting rearward of the vehicle from the dash panel P with respect to the rotating member 50, at the front end portion 54 of the rotating member 50; and a caulking pin 80 that fixes the rotating member 50 and the operation pedal mechanism 20, at the bent portion 52 of the rotating member 50.

System and method for collision prevention
A vehicle frontal illumination system includes a bracket attached to a front of a vehicle, where the bracket includes a light receiving surface that faces the front of the vehicle. The system also includes one or more lights attached to the light receiving surface of the bracket such that the one or more lights face the front of the vehicle. The system further includes a control system in communication with the light, where the control system is configured to turn the one or more lights on to illuminate the front of the vehicle to reduce the likelihood of an animal vehicle collision.
