Reduced friction for merchant interactions
Improvements to existing technologies associated with point-of-sale transactions and merchant ecosystems to, among other things, reduce in-person contact and, in some examples, improve the efficiency at which point-of-sale transactions are completed (i.e., reduce friction) are described. In some examples, such reduced in-person contact and/or improved efficiencies can limit transmission of infectious diseases. As such, techniques described are directed to modifying aspects of point-of-sale transactions such that they occur on different computing devices (e.g., customer computing devices instead of merchant computing devices), are automated, and/or occur at different times than with conventional point-of-sale transactions. Furthermore, in at least one example, techniques described can leverage a distributed, network-based merchant ecosystem—comprising multiple merchant computing devices and/or customer computing devices that are specially configured to communicate with a service provider—to facilitate social distancing, which can reduce in-person contact and, in some examples, improve the efficiency at which point-of-sale transactions are completed.
Mobile wallet systems and methods using trace identifier using card networks
A mobile wallet computer server receives a fund access request from a user device. The fund access request is made in connection with a payment transaction. The mobile wallet server generates a tokenized card number, transmits the tokenized card number to the user device, and receives receive the tokenized card number from a card network computer system after having been routed from the user device via a merchant computer system and via an acquirer processor computer system. The mobile wallet computer server converts the tokenized card number to the actual credit card account number of the user and transmits the actual credit card account number to the card network computer system to process the payment transaction.
MOBILE DEVICE WITH DISABLING FEATURE
A method and system for payments for mobile phone payments with a disabling feature is disclosed. The method includes activating a mobile phone containing contactless payment systems, and having a timeout feature disable the contactless payment systems after a set period of time.
AUTHENTICATION TRANSACTION
Various examples are directed to systems and methods for authentication transactions. A mobile computing device may send to a financial institution system, an access request message. The mobile computing device may receive from a second server system, a transaction request message requesting authorization for a transaction on an account associated with the mobile computing device, the transaction request including a transaction amount. The mobile computing device may prompt a user of the mobile computing device to authorize the transaction. The mobile computing device may receive, from the financial institution system, summary data describing the transaction amount.
MOBILE KEY ENROLLMENT AND USE
A computer system performs techniques related to enrolling and using a secure credential. In some embodiments, a computer system provides user interfaces for enrolling a secure credential on the computer system. In some embodiments, a computer system provides user interfaces for inviting a user account to use a secure credential.
MULTISPACE PARKING PAY STATIONS INCLUDING PAYMENT IMPROVEMENTS
Disclosed herein are multispace parking pay stations comprising: at least one processor, a memory, a communications element, a printer, and a computer program including instructions executable by the at least one processor to create an application comprising: a software module receiving a unique identifier associated with a parking customer, the parking customer having executed a mobile payment for parking in a space associated with the pay station; a software module transmitting the unique identifier to a central parking management server and querying the central parking management server with the unique identifier to identify the parking customer and verify the mobile payment; and a software module generating and sending instructions to the printer to print a payment verification for the parking customer.
Electronic device for performing payment and operation method therefor
Disclosed is an electronic device for processing a touch input. The electronic device may comprise: a touch screen; a biometric sensor disposed overlappingly at a position of at least a part of the touch screen; and a processor for acquiring biometric information of a user from an input relating to an object displayed through the touch screen, by using the biometric sensor, receiving a payment command associated with a payment function for the object, and performing the payment function for a product corresponding to the object by using the biometric information according to the payment command. Various other embodiments may be provided.
Contactless card with multiple rotating security keys
A contactless card can include a plurality of keys for a specific operation, e.g., encryption or signing a communication. The contactless card can also include an applet which uses a key selection module. The key selection module can select one of the plurality of keys and the applet can use the key to, e.g., encrypt or sign a communication using an encryption or signature algorithm. The contactless card can send the encrypted or signed communication to a host computer through a client device. The host computer can repeat the key selection technique of the contactless device to select the same key and thereby decrypt or verify the communication.
METHOD, COMPUTER DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM FOR SHARING PAYMENT INFORMATION AND SETTLEMENT
A method of processing a settlement includes setting a chatroom for interaction with a payment method; and sending payment details using the payment method to the chatroom and sharing the payment details with a member participating in the chatroom.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR LOADING CURRENCY INTO AN ELECTRONIC WALLET
Various methods, systems, and devices for loading currency into an electronic wallet are provided. In general, a currency acceptance terminal can be configured to accept currency from a user for loading into the user's electronic wallet, which may be used to purchase products from a merchant. The currency acceptance terminal can be unmanned such that the currency can be accepted and loaded into the electronic wallet without a cashier or other employee handling the currency or the currency acceptance terminal.
