MERCHANDISE TRANSACTION PROCESSING SYSTEM, MERCHANDISE REGISTRATION DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR MERCHANDISE REGISTRATION DEVICE
According to one embodiment, a registration device for a transaction processing system includes a communication interface connected to a plurality of settlement devices via a network. The plurality of settlement devices includes a first settlement device and a second settlement device. A processor of the registration device is configured to generate settlement information required for settlement of a merchandise transaction based on the registration of items in the merchandise transaction, and then transmit the settlement information to the first settlement device. If the transmission of the settlement information to the first settlement device fails, the processor records transaction specifying information on a medium that can be given to a customer. The transaction specifying information identifies the settlement information corresponding to the merchandise transaction. The processor also store the settlement information in a storage unit when the transmission to the first settlement device fails.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
The objective of the present invention is to automate settlement of the price of a product, when a purchaser purchases a product displayed in a shop, in order to reduce the time required for settlement of the price of the product, and to prevent fraud by the purchaser or the cashier. The present information processing system is provided with a moving object tracking means, a shelf product recognition means, and a settlement means. The moving object tracking means finds a moving object such as a shopper or a basket moving within a store, defines the region of the moving object, and captures images of the moving object while tracking the movement thereof. The shelf product recognition means constantly monitors the state within a shelf, and compares captured images before and after an object is removed from the shelf, a change in weight, or a change in a position signal. The product to be recognized is defined from the captured images, the weight, and position information, and the product is identified from the defined information. The settlement means settles payment for the identified product.
PREDICTIVE RESCAN SERVICE
Transaction records for self-service checkout transactions are provided in real-time to a customizable machine-learning rescan audit service. Any retailer defined settings with respect to random audits are enforced by the service and the real-time transaction records are provided to a machine-learning model that returns rescan scores based on the real-time transaction records. The service compares the rescan scores in view of retailer-defined suspicious scores for both a full rescan of a given checkout transaction and a partial rescan of the given checkout transaction. The service alerts the retailer when a rescan audit is predicted to be warranted for any given self-service checkout transaction based on random selection or based on the computed rescan score. The machine-learning model is continuously and regularly retrained. In an embodiment, the service provides reports, a dashboard, and mining of the transaction records and the audits to the retailer though a service-provided interface.
Method of controlling information processor, non-transitory controller-readable medium storing program, and communication system
A POS terminal has: a device driver; a POS application that communicates with a peripheral through the device driver; a filter driver that acquires communication information related to communication performed between the POS application and the peripheral through the device driver; and a failure detection application that acquires communication information from the filter driver over a predetermined period, defines a decision reference according to which a decision is made about an abnormality related to the peripheral, according to the acquired communication information, and makes a decision about an abnormality related to the peripheral through a comparison between the defined decision reference and communication information acquired from the filter driver after the predetermined period.
Customer Behavioural System
A customer behavioural system (100) in a store (10), the customer behavioural system (100) comprising a sensor arrangement (110) comprising one or more sensors (114a-c) and a behavioural analysis module (120). The behavioural analysis module (120) is configured to determine at least one behavioural feature (160) of a customer (20) based on sensor data from said one or more sensors (114a-c) and/or determine at least one motion event (160) of a customer (20) based on sensor data from said one or more sensors (114a-c), and determine behavioural information (122) for said customer (20) based at least on one determined behavioural feature (140) and/or at least one determined motion event (160).
SETTLEMENT PROCESSING DEVICE AND READING DEVICE
According to one or more embodiments, a settlement processing device includes an interface and a processor. The interface communicates with a reading device. The processor acquires an image of a commodity captured by the reading device via the interface, obtains symbol information based on the captured image, executes settlement processing based on the symbol information, and stores the captured image and the symbol information in correlation with each other in a storage device.
Skip-scanning identification method, apparatus, and self-service checkout terminal and system
Embodiments of the present invention provide a skip-scanning identification method and apparatus, a self-service cash register terminal and system. The method includes: obtaining a video of a user scanning an item; determining posture data of the user based on the obtained video; determining, according to the posture data of the user, a time period in which a scanning action of the user takes place; receiving a scanning result of the item; and determining whether the user has skipped scanning the item based on the scanning result and the time period.
Threat monitoring and notifications
A system for monitoring financial threats includes: at least one central processing unit and system memory that causes the system to: receive information about a threat associated with a financial services device; identify a type of the threat; identify a location associated with the threat; and notify one or more customers associated with the financial services device based upon the type or the location of the threat.
Networked theft prevention and mutli-user synchronization system and method for percussive massage device
A percussive massage device theft prevention system includes a percussive massage device, a command center configured to generate a unique activation code configured to be received by the percussive massage device, and an authentication device configured to be paired with the percussive massage device and provide the activation code to the percussive massage device. The percussive massage device is configured to be paired with the authentication device, receive the authentication code from the authentication device, and activate the percussive massage device for a specified time period.
Efficient weight estimation and stabilization
This disclosure is directed to item-identifying carts that may be utilized by users to automatically identify items that the users place in their carts. In order to identify the items placed into or removed from the cart, the cart may analyze image data, as well as weight data indicating a current weight estimation of a basket of the cart. The cart may include a weight sensor that generates a signal comprising a series of weight measurements of the basket of the cart. The cart may use an algorithm that calculates different mean values of different window sizes of the weight measurements of this signal and, thereafter, may calculate an average of these mean values. This average may be stored as the current weight estimation of the basket.
