The address card 102 is for use with the remote unit 14, 16, 18 in order to provide an address for the remote unit 14, 16, 18. The address card 102 includes one or more of a plurality of optically recognisable colour elements 201-210 for encoding an address. The remote unit 14, 16, 18 includes an optical sensor 116 for identifying colour characteristics of the optically recognisable colour elements 201-210, and a control system 118 for determining the address from the colour characteristics.

Alarm management system with blockchain technology

An alarm management system includes a control arrangement, an alarm device, a blockchain, a blockchain application, and a plurality of nodal access sites. The arrangement includes a processor and a storage medium. The device is configured to output an event signal to the control arrangement. The blockchain is stored in the medium, and includes a plurality of transaction types. Each transaction type includes at least one linked transaction, and the at least one linked transaction is time stamped. The blockchain application is stored in the medium, and is executed by the processor, and is configured to time stamp each one of the transactions. The blockchain is applied by the application to determine a current associated transaction with any one of the transaction types, and output data associated with the current transaction. The plurality of nodal access sites are configured to receive and output the data associated with the current transaction.

DETECTION SYSTEM

A detection system (10) for hazard detection is provided. The detection system (10) includes a control loop (16); an addressable base unit (18) connected to the control loop (16), the base unit (18) including a first near-field communication module (22) storing a unit address; and a mounting unit (20) removably coupled to the base unit (18), the mounting unit (20) including a second near-field communication module (24) operable to read the unit address from the first near-field communication module (22) and store the unit address so that the mounting unit (20) is thereby addressable via the control loop (16).

The security system can include an outwardly facing portion configured to face away from the power outlet and an inwardly facing portion having a first electrical prong and a second electrical prong that protrude into the power outlet to mount the security system to the power outlet. The security system can also include a detection system comprising a camera and a motion detector.

Emergency evacuation container and service for protection of valuables

A container for the storage of valuables and a service to retrieve the container is disclosed. The container is designed to contain valuables and important documents, and protect these contents during an emergency evacuation situation. The container is waterproof and can float in water. The container can also be made of a flame-resistant material. The container can emit a homing signal to facilitate the retrieval of the container in the event of an emergency situation. A container retrieval service can initiate a retrieval of the container in response to a determination that a disaster is likely to occur in the region where the container is located.

Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.

Fire alarm system and booster

A fire detector is connected to a loop transmission line connected to a receiver. When the loop transmission line is normal, a transmission unit is connected to the fire detector. When a disconnection failure occurs, a disconnection monitoring unit turns on switching circuits to connect the end of the loop transmission line to the transmission unit, and the receiver connects to the fire detector from both ends of the loop transmission line. An input/output switching booster is inserted and connected in the middle of the loop transmission line, and when the start side transmission line is disconnected and the switching circuits are turned on, the input/output is switched. Accordingly, the input/output switching booster amplifies the down signal input from the terminal side transmission line and outputs it to the start side transmission line and at the same time amplifies the up signal input from the start side transmission line.

Security system with networked touchscreen

Methods and systems for monitoring a premises are described. A computing device may receive data from a premises management system. The computing device determines one or more actions to perform by analyzing the data. The computing device may determine to output, via a user interface, an indication associated with the data. A user may request video associated with the data.

Systems and methods for resolving double address faults during the commissioning of a connected system

Systems and methods for resolving double address faults during the commissioning of a connected system are provided. Some methods can include identifying a subset of a plurality of devices in a region with a double address fault, displaying a first list of the subset, receiving user input selecting one of the subset, identifying a current location of a user, generating a map of the region, wherein the map identifies a respective location of each of the subset and includes visual signs to guide the user from the current location of the user to the respective location of the one of the subset, displaying the map, generating a second list of valid addresses assignable to the one of the subset to address the double address fault, and displaying the second list.
