Identification of a poorly parked vehicle and performance of a first group of actions to cause one or more other devices to perform a second group of actions
A device can receive parking metadata that includes location data indicating that a portion of a vehicle is located outside of a designated parking area (DPA). The device can process the parking metadata to identify values that are to be used when determining actions to perform. The device can obtain supplemental events data associated with events occurring near the DPA. The device can determine the actions to perform based on the parking metadata and the supplemental events data. The device can provide, as one of the actions and to one or more other devices or to the vehicle, a message indicating that the portion of the vehicle is located outside of the DPA. This can cause the one or more other devices or the vehicle to: move the vehicle from the DPA, reposition the vehicle within the DPA, or penalize an owner of the vehicle.
SYSTEM, METHOD, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND VEHICLE FOR AUTOMATED VALET PARKINIG
An automated valet parking system, an automated valet parking method, and an automated valet parking infrastructure, and a vehicle having an automated valet parking feature are disclosed. In particular, the vehicle can autonomously move to and park in a designated parking spot by communicating with the infrastructure. In addition, the vehicle can autonomously move to a pickup area from a parking spot by communicating with the infrastructure.
AUTONOMOUS DRIVING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An autonomous driving method, an autonomous driving apparatus, a computer-readable storage medium, and a computer program product are provided. The method includes: receiving first driving-related information of a first road section ahead of a road on which a first vehicle currently drives and information about a parking waiting area that are sent by a network side device, where the parking waiting area is used to park the first vehicle before the first vehicle drives into the first road section (S304); then determining, based on the first driving-related information, that the first road section does not meet an autonomous driving condition requirement of the first vehicle (S305); finally, controlling the first vehicle to drive into the parking waiting area (S306).
Vehicle Presence Detection System
A vehicle presence detection system for determining whether a parking space is vacant or occupied and utilizing this information to guide vehicles to available parking spaces. generally includes a LIDAR device, a cloud-based processing unit, a database, and a guidance light. The LIDAR device generally includes a light emitter, a light sensor, a CPU, a memory unit, and a communications device. The LIDAR device determines the distance between itself and a parking spot or a vehicle parked in that parking spot using an algorithm that accounts for variances in the ambient conditions. This status information can be communicated to a cloud-based processing unit, which can store this information in a database and/or use this information to send parking status indications to an autonomous vehicle dynamic sign, mobile device, or guidance light.
Advanced parking management system
A parking management system that facilitates motorist guidance, payment, violation detection, and enforcement using highly accurate space occupancy detection, unique vehicle identification, guidance displays, payment acceptance, violation detection, enforcement data generation, electronic booting, and towing management is described. The system enables reduced time to find parking, congestion mitigation, accurate violation detection, and easier enforcement, and increased payment and enforcement revenues to cities.
WIRELESS OCCUPANCY SENSORS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
Wireless occupancy sensors and methods for using the same are provided. In some embodiments, a occupancy sensor comprises: a housing that includes a window positioned at a top portion of the housing; a battery at a lower portion of the housing; a first magnetometer that detects changes in a magnetic field when a vehicle moves over the first magnetometer; an optical sensor that detects one or more objects in a field of view of the optical sensor through the window; a transmitter for transmitting sensor data to a gateway device, and a processor that controls the first magnetometer, the optical sensor, and the transmitter.
Automatic parking system
An automatic parking system instructs a plurality of autonomous driving vehicles in a parking lot such that each autonomous driving vehicle parks in a target parking space within the parking lot, and includes an instruction change target vehicle specifying unit configured to, in a case where the autonomous driving vehicle becomes a failed vehicle due to abnormality or communication interruption during automatic driving according to instruction, specify an instruction change target vehicle from normal autonomous driving vehicles based on parking lot map information, a location of the failed vehicle, and a location of the normal autonomous driving vehicles, and a vehicle instruction unit configured to, in a case where the instruction change target vehicle is specified, issue a route change instruction, an evacuation instruction, or a stop instruction to the instruction change target vehicle, such that the instruction change target vehicle gets away from the failed vehicle.
Signaling information on a detected parking space to the operator of a remote control for a parking assistance system which can be controlled by remote control for automatically parking a motor vehicle
One aspect of the invention relates to a method for signaling information to the operator of the remote control for a parking assistance system which can be controlled by remote control from outside of a motor vehicle for automatically parking the motor vehicle into a parking space. The method includes detecting surroundings information with respect to the vehicle surroundings on the motor vehicle side using a surrounding sensor system of the motor vehicle. The parking assistance system in the motor vehicle detects a parking space on the basis of the surroundings information, and information on the detection of a parking space is transmitted from the motor vehicle to the remote control via a wireless communication connection. On the basis of the received information, the remote control signals the presence of the detected parking space to the operator.
Remote parking system
A remote parking system includes: a terminal configured to transmit a ranging signal; plural reception units provided with a reception surface to receive the ranging signal and configured to detect an arrival direction of the ranging signal with respect to the reception surface; and a control device configured to acquire a distance from the terminal to a vehicle based on the arrival direction of the ranging signal and a reference posture of each of the reception units and to move the vehicle toward a parking position based on an operation input to the terminal in a case where the control device determines that the acquired distance from the terminal to the vehicle is equal to or less than a prescribed threshold. The control device is configured to cause the terminal to display an intensity of the ranging signal received by at least one of the reception units.
Electric vehicle charging system and operation method thereof
An electric vehicle charging system and an operation method thereof are provided. The electric vehicle charging system may include a controller, a camera configured to capture a vehicle that is present in a charging station and transmit image information about the vehicle to the controller, a guide unit configured to receive guidance from the controller and output the guidance, and a plurality of chargers provided in the charging station and communicably connected to the controller. The controller may analyze information about the vehicle based on the image information received from the camera, may guide a member vehicle registered to receive charging service to move to a charger for members, may guide a nonmember vehicle to move to a charger for nonmembers, and may adjust a ratio of the number of chargers for members to the number of chargers for nonmembers according to an estimated waiting time for charging of the vehicle. The electric vehicle charging system may transmit and receive a wireless signal on a mobile communication network constructed according to 5th generation (5G) communication.
