The present disclosure provides a kit for facilitating music learning. The kit comprises: a receptacle configured to represent a music note, the receptacle comprising a slot; and a modifier card configured to be inserted into the slot of the receptacle for modifying at least one of an accent, volume, articulation, or chromatic alteration of the music note based on a design of the modifier card, wherein the receptacle and modifier card serves as an indication for a user to vocally perform the modified music note.

The present disclosure provides a methodology and toolkit for music literacy learning, comprising a plurality of tools for developing, practicing and understanding the elements, functions and dynamics of music reading, composing, listening, critiquing and ensemble performing skills. An apparatus for playing chords, scales and/or intervals on a musical instrument for visually-impaired people is provided. The apparatus can have a substantially rectangular card with multiple indicators attached to the card that a visually-impaired person can play all chords, intervals and scales on a piano with a dedicated card having the chord or scale configuration by aligning the indicators to any piano key and finding the other keys of the same chord or scale on the piano by aligning the other indicators.

An apparatus for playing chords, scales and/or intervals on a musical instrument for visually-impaired people is provided. The device includes first insertion slots arranged in the musical staff. The first insertion slots match keys of a keyboard musical instrument. The device includes second insertion slots arranged in parallel to the first insertion slots. Each of the second insertion slots indicates an accidental sign with adjacent first insertion slots. The device includes first pegs configured to insert in the first insertion slots. The device includes second pegs configured to insert in second insertion slots to indicate an accidental sign. The device includes interchangeably clefs individually placed when needed adjacent to the musical staff. An exemplary method includes applying a teaching guide to a body side of a stringed instrument that is visible by a user when the stringed instrument is in use by the user. The teaching guide includes at least one tablature notation, each tablature notation corresponding to a respective chord for the stringed instrument.
Training device for stringed instrument player
A training device for acquiring or maintaining muscle memory and fingertip callouses of a stringed instrument player. The device includes an elongated base plate structure having a width dimension like that of a neck of a stringed instrument and a length dimension configured to accommodate a plurality of fret-like lateral spaced protrusions extending above a top surface of the base plate. First and second sets of string supports are arranged respectively at the longitudinal ends of the base plate and arranged to hold device strings in tension above the top surface. An attachment structure may be provided for attaching the device to the person of the player in a ready-to-use position. The device is configured so that the player can strum the device strings to develop or maintain muscle memory and/or fingertip callouses.
Piano cards music theory teaching method and apparatus
Piano keyboard cards contain a pictured keyboard on the cards with note indicators on keys to be played and fingering numbers showing the finger to be played. These piano keyboard cards have several varieties including scale and chord keyboard cards. These piano keyboard cards can be used on their own without a piano. Also included is a music notation sheet that has all notes of music notation labeled and a fully labeled piano sheet that has all the notes on a piano labeled. The invention provides a device and method for displaying chords in a musical scale based upon one or more selected root notes. The device includes planar members representing a fretboard of a stringed instrument and fingering positions for playing chords in a selected root note in a selected musical scale. The planar members are adapted to be connected to one another and permit multiple chords in multiple root notes to be displayed simultaneously in an easy to understand format.
Device to mark fingerings of a stringed musical instrument relative to capo placement
A playing aid for a stringed musical instrument comprised of an elastic member attached to a capo at one end and near the bridge at the other end. The elastic member has marks along its length indicating a certain number of frets between that mark and the capo. When the capo is attached in different locations along the neck, the elastic member stretches such that the number of frets between the capo and each marker is constant regardless of the capo position.
