Drum Accessory
A stop and dampening pillow are provided inside a bass drum with the dampening pillow engaging the batter head (player's side) but prevented from touching or engaging the resonant head (audience side) by the stop. The stop may be a single piece device, such as a wooden circular segment, or an adjustable device for multiple drum diameter sizes.

DRUM TUNING ASSEMBLY AND TUNABLE DRUM SYSTEM
A tuning assembly and tunable drug system are described. The tuning assembly including a pressure ring, a rope ring with a first plurality of holes and a second plurality of holes, a rope system coupled to the first plurality of holes and a membrane of a drum head, and a plurality of fasteners engaging the second plurality of holes in the rope ring and a surface of the pressure ring. Tightening the plurality of fasteners increases the distance between the rope ring and the pressure ring causing the rope ring to pull the rope system and apply pressure to the membrane of the drum head.

DRUM
The invention relates to a drum having a drum shell which forms an upper and a lower part (1, 2), is divided by a system ring (3) and is covered on each of the two open cover sides by a respective drumhead (4) which is tensioned down on the drum by a respective tension hoop (5) which is fastened to the drum by way of tuning screws (6), wherein the tension hoops (5) are tensioned against the common system ring (3) by way of their respective tuning screws (6) with interposition of the upper and lower parts (1, 2) respectively. In order to create advantageous construction conditions, it is proposed that the drum shell consists at least in sections of stone material and that the upper and lower parts (1, 2) of the two-part drum shell are bonded to the system ring (3) via stone silicone as an adhesive.

PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT STRAINER AND TUNING SYSTEM
A strainer system includes an adjustable slide assembly that can be used as a strainer side assembly or a butt side slide assembly for tensioning a snare that will not detune due to sympathetic vibrations. The strainer system may also be configured to easily control the amount of snare contact with the bearing edge on both the strainer side and the butt side of the shell body.
Electronic drum
A percussion instrument includes a drum shell, a batter head maintained under tension by a rim secured to the top of the drum shell, a flexible member supported at the bottom end of the drum shell, a contact microphone retained on a central section of the flexible member, an acoustic transmission structure in contact with the batter head, and a drive foot coupled to a lower end of the acoustic transmission structure. The contact microphone can be coupled to the flexible support member with a first double-sided adhesive tape member. A foam cushion disposed between the drive foot and the contact microphone can be coupled to the drive foot on a top side with a second double-sided adhesive tape member and on the opposite bottom side with a third double-sided adhesive member to reduce unwanted microphonics or feedback, and allow rapid reversion of the signal from the contact microphone.
ACOUSTIC DRUM SHELL INCLUDING INSERTS
A metal shell and metal inserts of an acoustic drum. In some examples, an acoustic drum having a metal shell can include one or more metal inserts configured to control the tone of the drum. In some configurations, the one or more inserts can form a portion of a bearing edge at one or more openings of the shell. Moreover, in some examples the inserts can be fitted to be in contact with the shell. The shape and configuration of the metal inserts can therefore control and refine the tone of the drum, allowing, for example, a drum with a metal shell to have a tone resembling that of a wooden drum with the sensitivity and power of a metal drum.
TONE-ENHANCING DRUM SHELL AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A drum having modified tone qualities is provided. The drum has a generally cylindrical inner shell positioned within a generally cylindrical outer shell. The inner shell has at least one sound-transmitting aperture defined therethrough so that the sound-transmitting aperture provides an unobstructed passageway for sound waves to pass through to reach the outer shell. In some aspects, an insert for modifying the tone qualities of a drum is provided. In some aspects, the outer shell has one or more inwardly extending protrusions co-located with and extending through the at least one sound transmitting aperture.
