Reproduction apparatus, reproduction method, program, and recording medium
A reproduction apparatus, a reproduction method, a program, and a recording medium configured to stabilize display upon starting of reproduction of an HDR video stream. The reproduction apparatus according to one aspect of the present technology decodes, in a case where a first content including a first HDR video stream to which dynamic metadata including luminance information of a unit of a video frame is added and a second content including a second HDR video stream to which the dynamic metadata is not added and with which static metadata including luminance information of a unit of a content is associated are included in reproducible contents and the second content is to be reproduced, the second HDR video stream, and adds the dynamic metadata to video data obtained by the decoding and outputs resulting data to a display apparatus. The present technology can be applied to a Blu-ray Disc player.
Image recording and reproduction apparatus, image recording method, and endoscope system
An image recording and reproduction apparatus includes: a record data generation circuit configured to generate record data based on an inputted video signal; an operation input device configured to receive a signal generated based on an operation of one or more persons, for one or more operation instructors that accept an operation for adding chapter information to the video signal; an operation system determination circuit configured to determine at least one of the operation instructor generating the signal received by the operation input device, and a person performing the operation, and output a determination result; and a first processor configured to cause the record data generation circuit to generate the record data that associates the chapter information with the video signal, by generating chapter information of a chapter type based on the determination result of the operation system determination circuit, and supplying the information to the record data generation circuit.
Multi-dimensional video navigation system and method using interactive map paths
A processor implemented method and system are disclosed. The method includes generating, based on geographical data and associated video data, a geo-located path having an interactive segment representative of the associated video data. The width of the interactive segment may be adjusted based on the geographical data and time data. A timeline, based on the geographical data and the time data, is generated. The geo-located path is displayed with the interactive segment. The timeline is displayed in response to a selection of the interactive segment. A representation of the video data is displayed in response to the selection of the interactive segment. The representation of the video data is associated with the selected interactive segment. The representation of the video data and the timeline are selectable for time-based navigation through the representation of the video data.
Media Files and Protocols Supporting Runtime Dependent Tracks
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for rendering content from a media item. According to these embodiments, from a file of the media item, track(s) in a group data structure corresponding to the type of content are identified as candidate track(s). From other tracks in the file, a determination may be made whether another track corresponds to the type of content. When another track corresponds to the type of content, feature tags in the file that are associated may be compared with the other track to capabilities of a player device that is to render the type of content. When the feature tags match capabilities of the player device, the other track may be included as a candidate track. Thereafter, a track may be selected from the candidate tracks and rendered by the player device.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
To enable an HDR image and an HDR image metadata to be stored in an MP4 file, and a reproduction device to reproduce an optimum HDR image based on metadata. In generating the MP4 file that stores HDR image data, the HDR image metadata is recorded in the MP4 file. An HDR image metadata storage box is set to a trak box or a traf box in the MP4 file, and the HDR image metadata is stored. The reproduction device acquires the HDR image metadata stored in the MP4 file, determines whether executing a conversion process of the HDR image read from. the MP4 file according to the acquired metadata and display function information of the display unit, and executes an output image generation process according to a determination result.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR INTERACTIVELY IDENTIFYING SAME INDIVIDUALS OR OBJECTS PRESENT IN VIDEO RECORDINGS
A method, system and computer program product for interactively identifying same individuals or objects present in video recordings is disclosed. When a thumbnail in a set of thumbnails is selected, new information is obtained. The new information may be that an individual or object is present in the portion of the video recording associated with the thumbnail. A search can be carried out for the individual or object based on the new information. The search generates new match likelihoods for each of displayed thumbnails within a user interface page. The displayed thumbnails are re-ordered based on the new match likelihoods.
PLAYING APPARATUS, PLAYING METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
The present technology relates to a playing apparatus, a playing method, an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a program, and a recording medium that allow playing of appropriate HDR videos. A playing apparatus in an aspect of the present technology has a storage unit that has regions for storing a plurality of units of information indicating the state of the playing apparatus including preference information indicating the type of an HDR video to be preferentially played, out of a first HDR video that is essential in including in a content an HDR video as a video in a wider brightness range than a standard brightness range and a second HDR video that is capable of being included in the content. The playing apparatus acquires encoded data of the HDR video to be preferentially played indicated by the preference information, out of encoded data of the first HDR video and encoded data of the second HDR video, and decodes the acquired encoded data. The present technology is applicable to Blu-ray disc players.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM, PLAYBACK CONTROL METHOD, AND PLAYBACK CONTROL DEVICE
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a playback control program that causes a computer to perform a process, the process including specifying a plurality of partial videos extracted from a sport video, each of the plurality of partial videos being associated with information indicating a playback start positions and information on a content of sports play indicated by each of the plurality of partial videos, determining a plurality of playback times from the playback start position for each of the plurality of partial videos based on the information on the content corresponding to each of the plurality of partial videos and based on relation information that associates each of a plurality of contents of sports play with playback times, and playing back the plurality of partial videos based on the plurality of determined playback times.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, recording medium, playback apparatus, playback method, and program
There is provided an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a recording medium, a playback apparatus, a playback method, and a program that are designed to prevent an unnatural change in luminance during random access. The information processing apparatus according to one aspect of the present technology generates dynamic metadata including information regarding luminance of a picture, and encodes HDR video data such that the dynamic metadata is added to each picture serving as a random access point. For example, the dynamic metadata can be allowed to be added to the first picture of a GOP, the first picture serving as the random access point during fast-forward playback/rewind playback or cueing playback. The present technology can be applied to a Blu-ray (registered trademark) Disc player.
