A fuel supply control system and method for a fuel cell are disclosed. The system includes: a fuel cell configured to receive a fuel gas and an oxidation gas and generate electric power; a recirculation line configured to circulate gas containing the fuel gas and connected to a fuel electrode of the fuel cell; a discharge valve provided in the recirculation line and configured to allow the gas to be discharged to the outside when open; a discharge amount estimator configured to estimate a discharge amount of the discharged gas based on a supply amount of the fuel gas supplied to the recirculation line, a consumption amount of the fuel gas consumed in the fuel cell, and a change in the amount of the gas in the recirculation line; an offset calculator configured to calculate the discharge amount of the gas estimated by the discharge amount estimator with the discharge valve closed, as a discharge offset; and a controller configured to control opening/closing of the discharge valve.

An energy regulation method for a fuel cell energy supply system including a plurality of fuel cell power generation modules, a plurality of power conversion modules, and a communication control module connected to the plurality of power conversion modules includes: calculating a parameter average value based on an energy state parameter of the fuel cell power generation module; calculating a compensation factor depending on the energy state parameter and the parameter average value; calculating a control parameter reference value of each of the power conversion modules based on a droop algorithm, and multiplying the control parameter reference value by the corresponding compensation factor to obtain a control parameter set value of the power conversion module; and regulating the corresponding fuel cell power generation modules depending on the control parameter set value.

A tester includes: an output power acquirer that acquires an output power value for each fuel cell stack; a deterioration estimator that estimates a degree of future deterioration for each fuel cell stack; and a future output power estimator that estimates, for each fuel cell stack, a future output power value, which is a value of power that is likely to be outputted after a specific period of time has passed, based on the degree of future deterioration estimated by the deterioration estimator. The fuel cell stack combining method includes determining combinations of the fuel cell stacks based on differences in the output power value between the fuel cell stacks and differences in the future output power value between the fuel cell stacks.

Fuel cell system and method for operating a fuel cell system

The disclosure relates to a fuel cell system comprising a fuel cell stack for providing an electrical power P.sub.stack depending on a power demand, at least one auxiliary unit for operating the fuel cell stack with an electrical power consumption P.sub.aux, at least one consumer with an electrical power request P.sub.use, and a control unit for regulating the power demand as well as a method for controlling such a fuel cell system. It is provided that the control unit is configured to selectively operate the fuel cell system in a first operating mode or in a second operating mode, whereby the fuel cell stack is turned off depending on the operating mode upon the falling below of an optimal efficiency degree operating point P(η.sub.max) of the fuel cell system or a minimum operating point P.sub.min of the fuel cell stack. In particular, at least one auxiliary unit is also turned off in the first operating mode, when the optimal efficiency degree operating point decreases.
