Terminations for electrical wiring devices
The present disclosure provides cam activated wire termination assemblies for electrical wiring devices. The electrical wiring devices include a cover and a base. The base has a wire chamber supporting a wire termination assembly. The wire termination assembly includes a wire fastening member and a conductive member. The wire fastening member has a cam surface and is rotatable between an open position and a securing position. The conductive member is positioned in close proximity to the wire fastening member such that a gap is provided between the wire fastening member and the conductive member when the wire fastening member is in the open position. When the wire fastening member is rotated from the open position to the securing position, the cam surface rotates to reduce the size of the gap between the wire fastening member and the conductive member.

Electrical connection terminal having an insert device for providing a counter-bearing for a tool
A connection terminal for the electrically contacting connection of a conductor to a current bar which is accommodated on a holder includes a clamping spring having a first limb and a second limb, said clamping spring being provided for applying a clamping force for damping the conductor. An actuation device which comprises the clamping spring is provided. Between the first limb and the second limb of the clamping spring, which is in the form of a tension spring, is arranged an insert device which provides a counter-bearing for a tool when the actuation device is actuated.
Push wire connector having a rotatable release member
An electrical connector includes a housing and a conductive contact member disposed in the housing. A first contact portion of the conductive contact member receives a blade contact of an electrical device and a second contact portion electrically engages an inserted electrical wire. A spring member is disposed in the housing and is connected to the contact member. A rotatable member is movable between first and second positions. When the rotatable member is in the second position the spring member secures an inserted wire in electrical engagement with the conductive contact member and prevents removal of the inserted wire. When the rotatable member is in the first position the spring member allows for removal of an inserted wire and allows for insertion of a wire in the housing.
Polarized battery clamp and booster cable
A polarized battery clamp includes a contact handle with an internal electrical path connecting a handle electrical connector at one end of the contact handle to a terminal contact pad at a second handle end, the contact handle also having an internal electrical contact bus connected to the electrical connector; and a contact arm having a terminal contact pad at a first arm end and a stepped pivot pin at a second arm end, the contact arm also having an electrical conductor electrically connected to the arm terminal contact pad; wherein the electrical conductor is placed into electrical contact with the electrical contact bus by inserting the stepped pivot pin into a handle positional slot.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR A FLAT CONDUCTOR
An object is to provide an electrical connector for a flat conductor that does not leave behind plastic deformation on a pressing arm part of a terminal pressing a flat conductor. A metal plate terminal, housing, and movable member are provided, where the terminal has a pressing arm part extending such that an insertion-and-removal direction of a flat conductor is in a longitudinal direction, and a supporting arm part extending in the longitudinal direction, which is connected with the pressing arm part by a connecting part. The pressing arm part has a pressing part for pressing one surface of the flat conductor on a rear end side which is an insertion side of the flat conductor, and a pressure receiving part receiving a force from a cam part on a position more forward than the pressing part.
Lead-through terminal
A lead-through terminal includes a terminal housing to be held on a wall of an electrical installation, and a wall feedthrough and a pivotable actuation device being provided on the terminal housing. The actuation device is pivotable at least between a contact position and an open position to clamp a conductor at a conductor receptacle in the contact position and to release or hold the conductor at the conductor receptacle in the open position. A gap that exists between the actuation device and the wall feedthrough when the actuation device pivots between the open position and the contact position is closed at least in the contact position.
Medical device with cam based rotating fastener
In one example, a medical device includes a housing having a channel configured to receive an electrical lead. The medical device can further have a rotatable member having a longitudinal axis about which the rotatable member is configured to rotate. The rotatable member can have an outer surface having a first radius from the longitudinal axis. The rotatable member can also have a cam lobe extending farther from the longitudinal axis than the first radius of the outer surface. The cam lobe can have a substantially planar surface parallel to the longitudinal axis. The substantially planar surface of the cam lobe can be configured to retain the electrical lead within the channel. The medical device can further have a slider having a central portion substantially parallel with the cam lobe. The slider can further have a slider protrusion on the central portion of the slider.
Connectors for Linear Lighting
A connector for a strip of linear lighting includes an outer shell or block and an adapter configured to be removably inserted into a cavity of the outer shell. The adapter may be a printed circuit board (PCB) adapted to mount wires on one side or edge. On the opposite side or edge, a series of contact pins are formed on the underside of the adapter. The outer shell includes a pressure-applying mechanism, like screws that insert through its thickness and are secured in a bar with threaded holes. The adapter is positioned such that the screws bear on and supply pressure to the contact pins. A strip of linear lighting is inserted into a slot beneath the adapter such that the contact pins of the adapter coincide with the solder pads or other electrical contacts of the strip of linear lighting.
CONNECTOR
Provided is a connector capable of firmly maintaining a connection state. A connector 1 includes a first clamp portion 10 having a press receiving portion 11 and a second clamp portion 30 having a press portion 31a. At least one of the press receiving portion 11 and the press portion 31a includes metal. When the second clamp portion 30 is fixed to the first clamp portion 10 or a housing that holds the first clamp portion 10, a linear conductor inserted from one end portion side of the press receiving portion 11 is clamped between the press portion 31a and the press receiving portion 11, comes into contact with the press portion 31a and the press receiving portion 11, and is bent between the one end portion and the press portion 31a.
