MODULAR SWITCH APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AT LEAST ONE ELECTRIC DRIVE
A modular switch apparatus for controlling at least one electric drive includes a mounting rail bus system having a control line and two power supply lines, a power supply device, and a safety relay module that is configured to obtain a first, high level control signal from a DC supply voltage applied to the two power supply lines and to feed the first control signal to the control line via the first bus interface if the emergency stop command device has not been actuated. Furthermore, at least one safety motor starter module is provided, which includes a processing device with an input that can be electrically connected to the control line via a bus interface. The processing device is adapted to evaluate a first, high level control signal as transferred via the control line and to provide control signals for controlling the at least two switch devices.
SINGLE-PHASE AC MOTOR WITH A RELAY FUNCTION
A motor is connectable to a single-phase AC power supply and forms a hermetic compressor. The motor includes a main circuit connected in parallel with the auxiliary circuit, and a winding structure having a main winding arranged as part of the main circuit and an auxiliary winding arranged as part of the auxiliary circuit. The motor includes a rotor arranged to be rotated by a current in the winding structure. To provide a motor durable and cheap to manufacture and to ensure a suitable response to overload situations, the auxiliary circuit has a first section and a second section extending in parallel where an NTC is inserted in the first section. A PTC is inserted in the second section, and a relay is arranged to activate and deactivate current in the first section of the auxiliary circuit based on a current level in the main circuit.

Motor starter and diagnosis method
The invention relates to a motor starter (10) for an electric motor (20), wherein the motor starter (10) comprises a first and a second phase (12, 14). Said motor starter and electric motor each have an associated switching apparatus (29, 31) which each have an electromechanical switch (22, 24) and a semiconductor switch (23, 25) connected to form a bypass circuit. The electromechanical switches (22, 24) and the semiconductor switches (23, 25) are designed to be separately operable by a control unit (40), and the first and the second phase (12, 14) are connected to a passive overcurrent protection means (30). The passive overcurrent protection means (30) has a fuse (32, 34, 36) for each phase. According to the invention, a measuring apparatus (42, 44) is arranged in at least one of the phases (12, 14) along the phase direction directly between the passive overcurrent protection means (30) and at least one of the switching apparatuses (29, 31). The invention further relates to diagnosis methods (100, 200, 300) with which defects in the motor starter (10) can be diagnosed during an activation sequence.
