CONTACTLESS TOUCH INPUT SYSTEM
A proximity sensor, including light emitters and light detectors mounted on a circuit board, two stacked lenses, positioned above the emitters and the detectors, including an extruded cylindrical lens and a Fresnel lens array, wherein each emitter projects light through the two lenses along a common projection plane, wherein a reflective object located in the projection plane reflects light from one or more emitters to one or more detectors, and wherein each emitter-detector pair, when synchronously activated, generates a greatest detection signal at the activated detector when the reflective object is located at a specific 2D location in the projection plane corresponding to the emitter-detector pair, and a processor sequentially activating the emitters and synchronously co-activating one or more detectors, and identifying a location of the object in the projection plane, based on amounts of light detected by the detector of each synchronously activated emitter-detector pair.
PRE-CHARGE MODULATION OF A LASER ARRAY FOR 3D IMAGING APPLICATIONS
Laser drivers and methods are disclosed including a pulse input for receiving one or more logical pulse control signals, a delay circuit, a main pulse output, and a precharge pulse output for efficiently driving a laser with reduced time delay to desired optical output and reduced power consumption during between optical outputs.
MOTOR/CONTROLLER AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM
Described herein is an electric motor drive system, including at least one power phase line, an external controller configured to generate a drive signal and provide the drive signal to the at least one power phase line, and motor electronics. The motor electronics include at least one switch coupled between the at least one power phase line and at least one electric motor terminal, and an internal controller configured to cooperate with the external controller to perform an authentication process therebetween. The external controller is further configured to cause the at least one switch to electrically couple the at least one power phase line to the at least one electric motor terminal in response to success of the authentication process.
Keyboard key switches
Key switches of the inventive subject matter are designed to give users the tactile feel of key switches from expensive mechanical keyboards without drawback typically associated with alternative key switches. In some embodiments, key switches described in this application are designed to function with a sheet of membrane switches, while in other embodiments, key switches of the inventive subject matter incorporate optical switching in place of membrane switching. Embodiments for use with membrane switching feature a plunger and rocker combination that prevents the pressure from a user's key press from being directly transferred to a membrane switch, thereby reducing wear and tear. In optical switching embodiments, pressing the key switch causes an actuator, e.g., come between an optical emitter/receiver pair to register a key press.
Optical switch module and control method thereof
An optical switch module including a light generation circuit, a light receiving circuit, and a control unit is provided. The light generation circuit includes a light generation unit and a control end, and generates light according to a control signal from the control end. The light receiving circuit includes a light receiving unit and a signal reading end, and is configured to receive light to generate a detection signal at the signal reading end. The control unit is configured to generate the control signal and receive the detection signal. The control unit further selectively configures the signal reading end in an input mode or an output mode. Before the control unit configures the signal reading end in the input mode to read the detection signal, the control unit configures the signal reading end in the output mode to pull up a potential of the light receiving unit.
OPTICAL KEYSWITCH
An optical keyswitch includes a keycap, a support mechanism, and a switch module. The support mechanism is disposed below the keycap and configured to support the keycap moving upward and downward, the support mechanism comprising a first frame and a second frame, the first frame having a sliding end. The switch module includes a circuit board, an emitter, and a receiver, the emitter and the receiver are electrically connected to the circuit board, and the emitter emitting an optical signal to the receiver. When the keycap is pressed, the first frame is driven by the keycap to slide substantially parallel to the circuit board and block the optical signal with the sliding end, so the switch module is triggered to generate a triggering signal.
STATUS NOTIFICATION DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD FOR STATUS NOTIFICATION DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
A light receiver outputs a log indicating at least one of an operating status of a multiple optical axis photoelectric sensor and an environment surrounding the multiple optical axis photoelectric sensor, at the time of an output being turned off.
TOUCHLESS SENSOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A sensor system is configured to control one or more operational functions of one or more components. The sensor system includes one or more protuberances, a first channel defined by the one or more protuberances, a second channel defined by the one or more protuberances, and one or more sensing devices configured to detect one or more actions of an object in relation to one or more of the one or more protuberances, the first channel, or the second channel. The one or more actions of the object are associated with the one or more operational functions of the one or more components.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RANGING FINDING, ORIENTING AND/OR POSITIONING OF SINGLE AND/OR MULTIPLE DEVICES AND/OR DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ORIENTATION AND POSITIONING
A method and apparatus for ranging finding of signal transmitting devices is provided. The method of signal reception is digitally based only and does not require receivers that are analog measurement devices. Ranging can be achieved using a single pulse emitting device operating in range spaced relation with a minimum of a single signal transmitter and a single digital receiver and processing circuitry. In general a plurality of transmitting pulsed emitters may be ranged and positioned virtually simultaneously in 3-dimensions (XYZ coordinates) using a configuration of a plurality of digital receivers arranged in any fixed 3-dimensional configuration. Applications may involve at least one single transmitter to receiver design to determine range, or at least one transmitted reflecting signal off from an object to determine range.
Relay unit for photoelectric sensor
In a relay unit, a sensor-side communication controller acquires setting information from a synchronization line and stores the acquired setting information in a storage unit in response to reception of a backup instruction from a communication master by a master-side communication controller. The sensor-side communication controller outputs the setting information stored in the storage unit to the synchronization line via a branch line in response to reception of a restoration instruction from the communication master by the master-side communication controller. The sensor-side communication controller periodically or aperiodically compares the setting information transmitted through the synchronization line with the setting information of the storage unit so as to detect presence or absence of a difference. The master-side communication controller outputs a notification signal to the communication master in response to detection of the difference.
