Example implementations relate to construction of a network service chain. For example, a system for construction of a network service chain can include a detection engine to detect a portion of a first network policy directing a subset of packets to a first service and a portion of a second network policy directing the subset of packets to a second service, and a construction engine to construct a network service chain of the first service and the second service in an order determined from a priority assigned to the first network policy and a priority assigned to the second network policy.

Digital signature systems and methods for network path trace
Digital signature systems and methods to represent network path trace information in a packet, implemented by a network element in a network include updating a digital signature based on a unique identifier of the network element, wherein the digital signature is carried in-band with the packet; and transmitting the packet by the network element with the updated digital signature, wherein the digital signature represents the network path trace information of the packet up to the network element. The digital signature is a key carried in-band with the packet, and the updating can include performing an exclusive OR function with a current key and a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) of a bit field with the unique identifier included therein to derive a new key which is inserted as the digital signature in the packet.
Broadband profile management
Systems and methods for performing broadband profile management in a cable network are disclosed. The method may include establishing a network connection with a cable modem termination System (CMTS) and discovering OFDM channels utilized by the cable network where each of the OFDM channels includes a plurality of OFDM subcarriers. In addition, a current set of profiles for the cable network is discovered and each of the profiles defines a modulation order for each of the plurality of OFDM subcarriers in each OFDM channel. Signal quality values are obtained for the plurality of OFDM subcarriers to generate a mapping between the signal quality values and the OFDM subcarriers, and a plurality of profiles are generated based upon the mapping between the signal quality values and the OFDM subcarriers. Then each of the cable modems is assigned to one of the plurality of profiles.
System and method for avoiding deadlock in transmission of broadcast traffic in a server system
A server system may include a plurality of internal hubs communicatively coupled to a plurality of server nodes. The plurality of internal hubs may communicate with an external hub to transmit broadcast traffic to reach a designated server node. A hub controller, a routing device coupled to the plurality of internal hubs, may select an internal hub from among a plurality of internal hubs based on a link status and a set of hub selection rules. Based on a status of active link and a relative priority of internal hubs, an internal hub is selected as a transmission channel to receive broadcast traffic from the external hub and direct the broadcast traffic to a corresponding server node.
DIGITAL SIGNATURE SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NETWORK PATH TRACE

Systems and methods for performing broadband profile management in a cable network are disclosed. A server system may include a plurality of internal hubs communicatively coupled to a plurality of server nodes. The plurality of internal hubs may communicate with an external hub to transmit broadcast traffic to reach a designated server node. A hub controller, a routing device coupled to the plurality of internal hubs, may select an internal hub from among a plurality of internal hubs based on a link status and a set of hub selection rules.
