Group Handling of Calls For Large Call Queues
20230033673 · 2023-02-02 ·

Calls for large call queues are handled by a system that assigns agents of a call queue to one of a first group or a second group. A size of the first group or the second group is based on a number of agents in the call queue that are online. The system batch rings each agent of the first group when an incoming call is received. If the incoming call is unanswered by the first group, the system batch rings each agent of the second group.

Method, server, client and program for supporting calling

A method for determining candidates for a person who is to handle a failure upon occurrence of a failure as call-target persons and calling the call-target persons via the Internet is provided. The method is a method which is to be executed by a server, for supporting calling of call-target persons within a list in which candidates for a person who is to handle a failure are defined as call-target persons, upon occurrence of a failure, and includes a step of calling a client of a call-target person selected from the list via the Internet, and a step of receiving a response result indicating a result of operation in response to the calling from the client of the selected call-target person.

Selective call routing and notification for multi-endpoint terminals

A device may obtain information. The information may represent a distance between a first user device and a second user device. The first user device and the second user device may share a destination address. The device may receive a first message associated with a call. The first message may be received based on the call having been made to the destination address. The device may determine, based on the information, whether to provide a second message associated with the call or a notification associated with the call. The device may selectively provide the second message or the notification based on determining whether to provide the second message or the notification.

Multi-device call notification silencing

A connection manager manages connections for associated user devices by determining whether an incoming connection has been answered at a user device, and if so then generating and transmitting silencing commands to associated user devices using first and second wireless communication modes, with one mode being faster. Connections can comprise phone calls, and modes can comprise push and Bluetooth® messaging. The connection manager can instruct device outputs to provide connection alerts, limited to visual alerts when an associated user device is active, listen for associated user device communications, and instruct device outputs to stop providing alerts when a silencing command is received. Further, a connection manager can receive a signal regarding a headset status, route an outside connection from a phone to the headset when the headset is active or to another device when the headset is not active, detect a change in headset status, and reroute the connection accordingly.

FACILITATION OF AN INTERNET PROTOCOL MULTIMEDIA PLATFORM

A call routing platform system can be used to facilitate routing of a call to a mobile device and a real-time communication API enable device simultaneously. A mobile device number associated with a mobile device can be registered with a call routing service to facilitate call forking between the mobile device and the real-time communication API enabled device. The call routing platform system can comprise an IP multimedia system to facilitate the call forking.

Dialing method and device

A dialing method for a calling party includes determining a plurality of phone number groups to be dialed in a simultaneous or sequential ringing mode, each of the groups including at least one phone number; and transmitting the plurality of phone number groups and a dialing flag to a calling server. The dialing flag including a simultaneous or sequential ringing flag indicating that the plurality of phone number groups are to be dialed in the simultaneous or sequential ringing mode. The calling party can freely custom multiple phone numbers expected to be rung simultaneously or sequentially and transmit them to a calling server, without registering in the calling server in advance. Thus, the trouble of the user registering the numbers in the calling server may be avoided and the calling server does not need to maintain a large-scale database for storing the multiple numbers at a large cost.

Selective endpoint notification of an incoming communication

The technology disclosed herein enables selective endpoint notification of incoming communications directed to a set of endpoints. In a particular embodiment, a method provides, in a communication control system, receiving a first request to establish a communication session with at least one endpoint in first set of endpoints. The first set of endpoints comprises two or more endpoints and the request is directed to the first set of endpoints. The method further provides identifying a first subset of the first set of endpoints based on application of one or more override rules to the first request. The override rules define conditions wherein fewer than all of the first set of endpoints should be notified of the first request. The method also provides notifying the first subset about the first request.

RECEPTION SYSTEM AND RECEPTION METHOD

A reception system includes: a visitor recognition unit that recognizes a visitor; a receiving person recognition unit that recognizes a receiving person that corresponds to the visitor; a receiving person contact information storage unit that stores contact information of the receiving person; a notification unit that notifies the receiving person of a visit of the visitor at the contact information of the receiving person stored by the receiving person contact information storage unit; and a receiving person selection unit that selects a substitute receiving person associated with the receiving person in a case where the receiving person is absent when the notification unit notifies the receiving person at the contact information of the receiving person, wherein the notification unit notifies the substitute receiving person selected by the receiving person selection unit when the receiving person is absent.

System and method for communication history reconciliation amongst linked devices

Methods and systems for communication history reconciliation amongst linked devices are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for communication history reconciliation amongst linked devices may include receiving an incoming communication request directed to a communication identifier associated with a user account, transmitting the communication request to at least a first device and a second device associated with the user account, receiving, responsive to the communication request, a message from the first device indicating that the first device has accepted the communication request to establish a call, and transmitting, to the second device, an indication that the communication request was accepted by the first device.
