There is provided an image processing apparatus that is characterized by: reading an original document and generating image data; performing transmission of an electronic mail to which the image data is attached; performing, according to an end of the transmission of the electronic mail, transmission of an end notification mail for notifying the end of the transmission of the electronic mail; setting a transmission destination to which the end notification mail is transmitted; and deciding whether or not to permit the attachment of the image data to the end notification mail, according to the transmission destination.

An image reading device including a reading transmission function of transmitting read data, generated by reading an original document, to a storage destination for storing the read data, the storage destination being included in an external device, the image reading device including a control unit configured to execute a communication test for determining whether communication with the storage destination is successfully performed, wherein the control unit includes a manual test mode for starting the communication test in response to an execution instruction of the communication test from a user and an automatic test mode for starting the communication test when a starting condition for starting the communication test is satisfied.

According to an aspect of the present invention, a method for transmitting omnidirectional video is disclosed. The method of transmitting omnidirectional video according to an embodiment of the present invention includes acquiring an image for the omnidirectional video, projecting the image for the omnidirectional video onto a 3D projection structure, packing the image projected onto the 3D projection structure in a 2D frame, encoding the image packed into the 2D frame, and transmitting a data signal containing the encoded image and metadata about the omnidirectional video.

The invention includes a print terminal that prints input image data and outputs the input image data as a print image, and an image storage server that is connected to the print terminal via a public network, and that stores the image data sent from the print terminal and user identification information. The print terminal creates, out of the print image, user identification information based on photographing location information and photographing date/time information included as data in a user identification information image specified by the user. In a case where the print terminal receives a re-input of image data of the user identification information image, the print terminal resends user identification information to the image storage server. In a case where an image directory including the resent user identification information internally exists, the image storage server sends the image data in the image directory to the print terminal.

A system for transmitting electronic video and/or audio to a device. The system includes: an image a media file association, electronic storage having a media file associated with the image, and a device configured to receive the image or to capture the image. The device is connected with the electronic storage, wherein upon download or capture of the image by the device, the system utilizes the media file association to identify the media file associated with the image and transmits the media file to the device. The media file association may include a marking, graphic, letter or numeral visible or invisible to a human. The marking, graphic, letter or numeral is disposed on or about the image. The system may be used in social media or advertising applications.
