Described herein is a multi-user retail photo kiosk system that includes multiple touch screen and Graphic User Interface (GUI) controlled consumer photo editing, photo print and product selection, and photo order placement terminals and multiple photo printers. The user photo kiosk terminals can receive images. Billing and payment is accomplished using barcoded receipts provided at the user terminal for payments for purchased photo products. A printer array incorporating various printers capable of producing prints or various sizes and formats can be configured as a horizontal counter or as a vertical tower and includes means to alert the user that their photo print order is complete. In addition, the system automatically notifies operators if equipment service, maintenance, media refilling, and/or post printing finishing procedures are required.

This application relates to systems and methods for scaling and assembling framed images, and to offering the framed images for purchase. In some embodiments, a computing device is configured to receive a first customer selection of a frame style and a frame size, where the frame size indicates dimensions of a frame window. The computing device is also configured to receive a second customer selection of a mat style. Further, the computing device is configured to determine, based at least on the dimensions of the frame window and the mat style, a mat size, where the mat size includes dimensions of a mat window. The computing device is also configured to determine, based at least on the dimensions of the mat window, an image size for an image. For example, the computing device may execute a rule-based model, or a machine learning model, to determine the image size.

A computer-implemented method programmed for execution in a computing environment for ordering and facilitating payment of a print product. The method comprises storing a digital image in a memory of the computing system; allowing for the selection of a print product using a user interface to establish a print order, wherein the print product includes the digital image, and wherein the print order includes an identification of the selected print product and an order cost; generating a unique payment link by the processor that corresponds to the print order and provides a user computing device with access to communicate payment information to a remote payment processing system; providing access to the unique payment link to the user computing device; receiving a payment notification at the processor from the remote payment processing system; and allowing for the fulfillment of at least a portion of the print order using a printing device.

An image forming apparatus includes a reading device and a controller. The reading device reads an image of a source document, and generates image data. The controller receives an input of the image data generated by the reading device. Further, the controller decides that the source document is a chargeable item, when image information indicating that the source document is the chargeable item, for which charging a usage fee corresponding to the source document to a predetermined third party is permitted, is included in the image data.

According to the present invention, there is provided an information processing apparatus (10) including: an obtainment unit (12) which obtains a reference image; an extraction unit (13) which extracts, from a storage unit (11) which stores a provision image generated by a plurality of provision-image generation cameras installed in a facility, the provision image including a person included in the reference image; and a display control unit (14) which causes a display to display the provision image extracted by the extraction unit (13).

Methods and systems for printing on a print device from both authorized users and guest users are disclosed. The methods include configuring the print device to execute document processing jobs from both authorized users and guest users based on a rule set. The method also includes receiving a request to initiate a document processing session on the print device, initiating the kiosk mode session for executing paid document processing jobs by outputting a kiosk mode user interface that is configured to allow the guest user to submit requests for paid document processing jobs, receiving a request for executing a document processing job via the kiosk mode user interface, causing the print device to execute the document processing job, and causing a payment processing service associated with the guest user to render payment for executing the document processing job.

A method for controlling copyright permissions when assembling multiple copyrighted works into a compiled file. The copyright permission level of each file is analyzed, either based on the copyright permission information present in metadata associated with the file or based on the digital file format of the file which reflects the permission level. The compiled file is assigned a permission level which is the same as or more restrictive than all of the permission level of the files in the compilation, and is generated in a format that enforces the assigned permission level. A notification may be displayed to the user to notify the use of the permission level assigned to the compiled file.
