DIRECTING COMMUNICATION OF DATA FROM AN IMAGE SENSOR
A memory device can be configured to direct communication of data from an image sensor to the memory device and/or image signal processing circuitry coupled thereto. The memory device can be configured to receive first signaling indicative of first data from an image sensor via a first port and provide the first signaling from the memory device to image signal processing (ISP) circuitry via a second port. The memory device can be configured to receiving, by the memory device, second signaling indicative of second data from the image sensor while the ISP circuitry operates on the first data. An image processing operation can be performed using logic circuitry of the memory device. Directing communication of data using the memory device can reduce data transfers, reduce resource consumption of an imaging system, and offload workloads from a host device and/or a host processing device, for example.

Request processing apparatus and request accepting apparatus
A request processing apparatus includes a selecting section and an outputting section. The selecting section selects, from multiple pieces of photo data obtained through shooting during an event, one or more pieces of photo data consistent with a request accepted before or during the event. The outputting section outputs the one or more pieces of photo data selected by the selecting section.
Methods and systems for securing a portable storage device connected to a universal serial bus (USB) port of a multi-function device
The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for securing a portable storage device connected to a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port of a mufti-function device. The method includes determining if the portable storage device is unattended at the multi-function device for a pre-defined time. Based on the determination, a retraction assembly is activated to secure the portable storage device inside the multi-function device. Once the retraction assembly is activated, the retraction process starts where the portable storage device is retracted to a first position within the multi-function device. Then, the portable storage device is moved from the first position to a second position within the multi-function device. Thereafter, the portable storage device is detached, in the second position, from the USB port to a container of the retraction assembly to secure the portable storage device.
Image formation apparatus having reading error and regenerating image data, control method of image formation apparatus, and storage medium
When a reading error occurs while reading out image data saved in a hard disk, input data which is saved in a RAM is read out and image data is regenerated from the read input data. This enables reprinting by an image formation apparatus alone without requiring a user to re-input image data even when the reading of data occurs due to abnormality of the hard disk.
Document scanning apparatus communicable with server for file management, and method and computer-readable medium therefor
A document scanning apparatus includes a controller configured to control an image scanner to scan a document sheet, thereby generating scanned image data, control a communication interface to transmit, to a storage, an instruction for inquiring whether there is one or more pieces of image data stored in a folder of the storage, control the communication interface to receive data existence information representing whether there is one or more pieces of image data stored in the folder, when the data existence information represents that there is one or more pieces of image data stored in the folder, control the communication interface to transmit, to the storage, an instruction to remove the one or more pieces of image data from the folder, and control the communication interface to transmit, to the storage, an instruction to store the scanned image data generated by the image scanner, into the folder.

REQUEST PROCESSING APPARATUS AND REQUEST ACCEPTING APPARATUS
A request processing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a selecting section and an outputting section. The selecting section selects, from multiple pieces of photo data obtained through shooting during an event, one or more pieces of photo data consistent with a request accepted before or during the event. The outputting section outputs the one or more pieces of photo data selected by the selecting section.
CONTROLLING AN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a sensor, an auxiliary storage device, and an operation control unit. The sensor detects disturbance. The auxiliary storage device is provided with a storage medium, and a head which performs operations of reading and writing of data with respect to the storage medium. The operation control unit does not perform a data writing operation with respect to the storage medium until a predetermined condition related to the disturbance is satisfied, and performs the data writing operation with respect to the storage medium by controlling the head, when a predetermined condition related to the disturbance is satisfied while the disturbance is detected by the sensor.
PHOTOGRAPHY SYSTEM TO ORGANIZE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE SUBJECTS THEREIN
A photographic processing system in which subject and other data is stored and such data is automatically linked to photographs taken using either a film or digital camera.
