System and Method for Exchanging Compressed Images Over LoRaWAN Gateways
A system and method for creating small data size representations of images, created on the image detection device, over wireless connections when there is insufficient bandwidth to support detailed images is disclosed. Image data size is often too large to send over low-powered long-distance wireless connections. Image data must be dramatically reduced to enable use of the lowest-power longest-distance wireless platforms including LoRa with LoRaWAN. Common image compression algorithms include jpeg and mpeg that provide only moderate reductions in data size. The described invention reduces data size beyond jpeg compression by reducing targeted image objects to simple outlines, contours or vectors. Monitoring security, wildlife, agricultural and other natural events require images of objects including insects, crops, livestock, wildlife or intruders. Contours, outlines or vectors of targeted objects are often sufficiently recognizable to provide useful information.
PROCESSING INSURED ITEMS HOLISTICALLY WITH MOBILE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND CLAIMS PROCESSING
Systems and methods provide for an automated system for analyzing damage to process claims and pre-claim consultations associated with an insured item, such as a vehicle. An enhanced claims processing server may analyze damage associated with the insured item using photos/video transmitted to the server from a user device (e.g., a mobile device). The mobile device may receive feedback from the server regarding the acceptability of submitted photos/video, and if the server determines that any of the submitted photos/video is unacceptable, the mobile device may capture additional photos/video until all of the data are deemed acceptable. In addition, the server may interface with third party entities such as repair shops and may generate a payment for compensating a claimant for repair of the insured item.
DIGITALLY INFORMED DELIVERY WITH CUSTOM ELECTRONIC SUPPLEMENTS FOR HARDCOPY MAIL
Systems and methods for enhancing digitally informed delivery of delivery items, such as mail or packages. A delivery item has an associated digital resource(s), such as electronic text, a digital file, an image, a web page(s), or the like. The delivery item includes an indicia, such as a bar code, that provides access to, or references, the digital resource. When the delivery item is processed during transit from the sender to the recipient of the delivery item, the indicia is read, and the associated digital resource is identified therefrom. The delivery service transmits, to the recipient, an electronic notification indicating that the delivery item is enroute to the recipient and also indicating the associated digital resource. The recipient can then access the digital resource, e.g., the custom text, files, images or web pages associated with the delivery item.
Digitally informed delivery with custom electronic supplements for hardcopy mail
A system and method for enhancing digitally informed delivery of delivery items such as mail. The sender of a delivery item creates custom electronic text, files, images, web pages, or other electronic/digital resource(s) to provide to the recipient. A postage meter, a server of the delivery service, or the like creates a digital indicia that includes the digital resource, associating it with the delivery item. When the delivery item is processed by the delivery service equipment during transit, the digital indicia is read and the associated digital resource is are identified therefrom. The delivery service equipment transmits, to the delivery item recipient, an electronic notification indicating that the delivery item is en-route to the recipient, and also provides the associated digital resource. The recipient can then access the resource, e.g., the custom text, files, images or web pages associated with the delivery item.
Image processing and error handling system and method for printing linearized and non-linearized portable document format (PDF) files
A method of processing linearized and non-linearized Portable Document Format (PDF) files for printing comprises: determining by printer firmware if a printer driver detected that the PDF file is linearized; saving stream data of the PDF file by the printer firmware when the printer firmware determines the printer driver detected that the PDF file is linearized; and determining by the printer firmware if the PDF file is linearized when the PDF file is unidentified as being linearized by the printer driver, wherein the printer firmware identifies real and false linearization error during linearized processing and identifies and processes printing errors in a parallel manner during saving and interpreting stream data.
System to download a scanned file from a server using a displayed access code
A reading apparatus comprises: an upload unit that uploads to a server a scanned file; and a display control unit that obtains an access code which is generated and for accessing an upload destination of the scanned file and displays the generated access code on a display unit. A portable terminal comprises: a reading unit that reads the displayed access code; an access unit that obtains information indicating an upload destination of the scanned file based on the reading and, using the obtained information, accesses the upload destination; and a download unit that downloads the scanned file from the upload destination. The information indicating the upload destination of the scanned file includes authentication information related to an access of the upload destination of the scanned file.
Image transmitting apparatus
An image transmitting apparatus is provided that automatically displays an address before transmission if a user gives an instruction for adding a mark such as “CONFIDENTIAL” or “IMPORTANT”. The image transmitting apparatus of the present invention is the image transmitting apparatus transmits image data to a specified address includes an image adding portion that adds a predetermined specific image to the image data in accordance with a user's operation, wherein displays a specified address of image data before transmitting the image data to which it is indicated to add the specific image and transmits the image data with the specific image added in accordance with a user's confirming operation.
System and method employing segmented models of binding elements in virtual rendering of a print production piece
A system and method for a pre-print, three-dimensional virtual rendering of a print piece is disclosed. A plurality of modular/pipelined architectural layers are managed, operated, and organized by a controller. A product definition is provided to a job ticket adaptation layer where it is transformed into a physical model. The physical model is then transformed into a display model via the product model layer. The display model is transformed into a scene that can be displayed on a graphical user interface as a three dimensional virtual rendering by a rendering layer, where the rendering includes one or more binding elements to satisfy the product definition. The modularity further enables different product description formats to be supported by only altering the job ticket adaption layer, and that different graphics rendering engines can be supported by altering only the rendering layer.
Systems and methods for implementing user-interactive delayed printing in image forming devices
A system and method are provided for implementing more efficient printing in image forming devices by providing a user-interactive scheme for delaying printing of individual user-requested print operations when an individual image forming device to which a specific user-requested printing operation is directed is determined to be in a power saving mode. The disclosed system and method may determine whether a requested image forming device is in a power saving mode at the time that a user requests an image forming operation and automatically present to the user a formatted user interface page on a display at the user workstation. The formatted user interface may provide the user with an option to direct the image forming device to delay (hold) executing the requested image forming operation until some additional condition is met.
Image output system, image output method, document server, and non-transitory computer readable recording medium
An image output system includes a document server, an information processing terminal, and an image output device connected in a network. The information processing terminal designates an output target document out of documents stored in the document server and instructs output of a job to the image output device. If the image output device is not a direct output compatible device that outputs a file format of the output target document, the document server converts the output target document to image data in a given file format, generates job data, and transmits the job data to the image output device. The job data including job control information that defines output setting and job substantive information designating the image data as the output target in a page description language.
