An image processing apparatus includes an input device, an operation device, and a control device. The control device functions as a controller. The image processing system performs OCR processing on image data generated by an image forming apparatus in response to selection of an object by a user and stores the image data in a folder having a folder name formed by using a character string obtained by the OCR processing. An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: obtain image data; obtain information including at least one of setting information set in advance for optical character recognition processing by plural apparatuses capable of communicating with the information processing apparatus or attribute information of each of the plural apparatuses; and based on the obtained image data and the obtained information, determine an apparatus used for optical character recognition processing of the image data from among the plural apparatuses.

A method and computing apparatus for extracting information from a document are provided. The method includes receiving a document, extracting data from the document, assigning the document to a category from among a predetermined plurality of categories based on a result of the extracted data, and generating a structured output by formatting the extracted data based on the assigned category.

A single folder named with a received character string is determined as a storage destination of image data corresponding to the plurality of document pages generated with the scanning instruction.

The method and systems comprise receiving user credentials from a graphical user interface, displaying scan capable devices on a network, creating a shared network folder accessible to a scan capable device, sending a user credential corresponding to the shared network folder to the scan capable device, creating a selectable data entry on the scan capable device corresponding to the network folder, and upon selection of the selectable data entry, digitizing a document and sending the digitized document to the shared network folder corresponding to the selectable data entry.
