A method includes displaying, in a first display area, a first display image obtained by reducing a first image, and a second display image obtained by reducing a second image, which has a size different from the first image, displaying, when the first display image is selected, a first intermediate image based on the first image in a second display area, calculating and storing, when the first intermediate image is commanded to be enlarged and moved, the display coordinates of the first intermediate image with respect to an enlargement ratio and a prescribed position, and displaying, when the second display image is selected, a second intermediate image based on the second image and enlarged with respect to a position of the second image, the position corresponding to the prescribed position, in the second display area, according to the stored enlargement ratio and display coordinates.

An electronic picture frame and an image display method thereof are provided. In the electronic picture frame, a plurality of images are arranged and displayed on one side of a screen, and among the plurality of images, an image at a particular position is enlarged and displayed. Alternatively, a screen is divided into a plurality of sub-screens, so images stored in each of a plurality of storage areas can be displayed on a respective sub-screen. Detection results for the respective images can be composed using a composition parameter calculated based on correspondence points between the images.

A display apparatus transmits a picture acquisition request for getting picture information to an external image apparatus connected through a predetermined interface to the display apparatus from the external image apparatus at predetermined intervals and gets a plurality of pieces of picture information from the external image apparatus to be displayed. The plurality of pictures may be switched at predetermined intervals, for example, to be displayed, so that the plurality of pictures may be displayed in a so-called slide show manner. A plurality of pictures for thumbnail may be produced from the plurality of pieces of picture information and be arranged together to be displayed in one picture screen of a display device.

An image scanning device scans one or plural document images of one or plural predetermined head pages, and a preview processing unit performs preview display of the document image(s) of the head page(s). One aspect of the invention involves a computer-implemented method in which the portable electronic device displays an array of thumbnail images corresponding to a set of photographic images. The device replaces the displayed array of thumbnail images with a user-selected photographic image upon detecting a user contact with a corresponding thumbnail image in the array. The user-selected photographic image is displayed at a larger scale than the corresponding thumbnail image. The portable device displays a different photographic image in replacement of the user-selected photographic image in accordance with a scrolling gesture. The scrolling gesture comprises a substantially horizontal movement of user contact with the touch screen display.

An information processing apparatus includes a display, an operating unit, and a movement controller. The display displays in a form of a display image a portion of information including plural items and moves the display image at a first speed by scrolling so as to display the plural items in a predetermined order. The operating unit accepts a movement instruction operation from a user for moving the display image. The movement controller performs control for reducing a movement speed to a speed lower than the first speed when a line of sight of the user toward the display image changes while the movement controller causes the display image to move.
