PAPER CONVEYANCE DEVICE, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING CONTROL PROGRAM AND CONTROL METHOD FOR PAPER CONVEYANCE DEVICE
According to an automatic document feeder of a multifunction peripheral according to the present invention, two tilt sensors are provided in the middle of a document conveyance path to detect a tilt degree of a document being conveyed along the document conveyance path. Here, for example, if the positional deviation representing the tilt degree of the document is greater than a predetermined threshold value ΔLs, the conveyance of the document is stopped. On the other hand, if this is not the case, the conveyance of the document is continued. In addition, the threshold value is set in accordance with the width dimension of the document, and in particular, the larger the width dimension, the smaller the threshold value.
Sheet feeder, image processing apparatus, method of feeding sheet, and non-transitory recording medium
A sheet feeder is provided. The sheet feeder includes a roller to feed a sheet, a motor to rotate the roller, and a motor controller to control rotation of the motor by a feedback control. The motor controller detects a condition of the sheet based on a value acquired in the feedback control at the time a load is applied from the sheet to the roller, while performing a stop control to stop the roller at a designated stop position. The stop control is performed after the motor is rotated in a direction opposite to a direction of feed of the sheet.
GUIDE ELEMENT FOR PAPER ALIGNMENT
An image scanning apparatus includes an image sensor to scan a manuscript, a transfer apparatus to pick up the manuscript and move the manuscript to a manuscript transfer path, and a loading apparatus to load the manuscript scanned by the image sensor. The loading apparatus includes a discharge tray to hold a discharged manuscript and a guide member to have one end rotatably disposed on the manuscript above an upper part of the discharge tray at an angle formed relative to the discharge tray based on a type of the manuscript.
IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
An image formation apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image on a recording medium delivered along a predetermined delivery path and outputs the recording medium; a first hardware processor that judges whether or not the recording medium is an envelope; a second hardware processor that acquires a basis weight of the recording medium; a third hardware processor that determines control for when an image is formed on the recording medium on the basis of a judgment result from the first hardware processor and a basis weight acquired by the second hardware processor; and a fourth hardware processor that controls operation of the image former on the basis of a determination result from the third hardware processor.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: a reception part that receives specification of a print mode and specification of a sheet type to be used for printing; a sheet supply part that sends a sheet to a sheet conveyance path; a detection part that detects a type of a sheet sent to the sheet conveyance path; and a hardware processor that controls a printing operation, wherein when a sheet type received by the reception part is a type for which printing in the print mode received by the reception part is allowed, the sheet supply part sends a sheet to the sheet conveyance path, the hardware processor determines whether or not the print mode received by the reception part is a prohibition mode, when it is determined that the print mode is the prohibition mode, the detection part detects a type of a sheet sent to the sheet conveyance path.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AND TRANSFERRING SHEETS
Provided are systems and methods for identifying, isolating, and/or aligning sheets. An identification system can facilitate accurate identification of a sheet by (i) vacating one or more components of the system that are not the sheet from a zone of detection, and/or (ii) determining a reference axis of the sheet. An isolation system can facilitate accurate isolation of a sheet by (i) providing targeted air flow, and/or (ii) introducing a wave into the sheet. Identification systems and/or isolation systems described herein may facilitate isolation of sheets that were previously fastened together by one or more fasteners. An alignment system can facilitate accurate alignment of a first sheet at an upstream location relative to a second sheet at a downstream location via machine learning.
MEDIUM FEEDING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND MEDIUM FEEDING METHOD
A medium feeding apparatus includes a medium mounting section forming a mounting face for mounting a medium thereon, a feeding roller configured to feed a lowermost medium among mediums mounted on the medium mounting section in a feeding direction, and a movement detection unit configured to output information related to movement of the medium in a direction along the mounting face, wherein based on detection information detected by a medium height detection unit that outputs information related to a height of the medium mounted on the mounting section from the mounting face in abnormality detection processing, when the height is less than a first threshold value, a control unit continues feeding the medium regardless of detection information detected by the movement detection unit or without obtaining detection information detected by the movement detection unit.
MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS INCLUDING CONVEYANCE GUIDE TO MOVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH MOVEMENT OF ROLLER
A medium conveying apparatus includes an imaging unit provided to be movable in a direction perpendicular to a conveying surface for conveying a medium, to image the medium, a roller pair provided on an upstream side of the imaging unit in a medium conveying direction, the roller pair including a first roller provided to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the conveying surface, and a second roller facing the first roller, and a conveyance guide provided on a rotation shaft of the first roller, to move in conjunction with a movement of the first roller. The conveyance guide includes a guide surface extending at least from a downstream end portion of a nip portion of the roller pair to an upstream end portion of the imaging unit in the medium conveying direction and being flush with a lower surface of the imaging unit.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a transport unit which transports a document, and reading units which read an image of the document which is transported. It is assumed that an operation of reading an image when specific setting information is not input to a control device of the image reading apparatus is set to a first reading mode, and an operation of reading an image when specific setting information is input to the control device is set to a second reading mode. In this case, in the second reading mode, image data of an image with a resolution which is equal to that in the first reading mode is generated, while causing the reading units to read an image from a document which is transported by the transport device at a lower speed than that in the first reading mode.
