METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR IMAGING OF MOVING PRINTED MATERIALS
A system for capturing images during production of printed material includes an optical device comprising a plurality of cameras arranged in an array with adjacent pairs of cameras having overlapping fields of view. An imaging controller device determines a layout of content on printed material, and determines, based on the layout, an optical system configuration profile. Determining the optical system configuration profile includes selecting one or more cameras for capturing images of regions of interest on the printed material and determining a trigger interval for triggering the selected one or more cameras. The imaging controller device triggers the selected cameras at times determined based on the trigger interval to capture images of the regions of interest on the printed material as the printed material moves in fields of view of the one or more cameras during production of the printed material.
Image reading device and image reading method
An image reading device includes a tray, a paper feed roller that conveys a sheet, a first sensor that detects a front end and a rear end of the sheet, a second sensor that detects the front end of the sheet, and a scanner that reads an image on a front side of the sheet and reads an image on a back side of the sheet. A controller determines a first time duration that elapses from the detection of the front end of the sheet by the first sensor to the detection of the rear end of the sheet by the first sensor and operates the scanner to read the image on the back side of the sheet over a second time duration equal in length to the first time duration. The second time duration begins after the front end of the sheet is detected by the second sensor.

Systems and methods for mobile image capture and content processing of driver's licenses
Systems and methods are provided for processing and extracting content from an image captured using a mobile device. In one embodiment, an image is captured by a mobile device and corrected to improve the quality of the image. The corrected image is then further processed by adjusting the image, identifying the format and layout of the document, binarizing the image and extracting the content using optical character recognition (OCR). Multiple methods of image adjusting may be implemented to accurately assess features of the document, and a secondary layout identification process may be performed to ensure that the content being extracted is properly classified.
Document processing device and size determination method thereof
A size determination method for a document processing device is provided. The document processing device includes an automatic document feeding module. The automatic document feeding module includes a support tray, an entrance and a detecting module. The detecting module includes a front-row detector and plural rear-row detectors. The size determination method includes following steps. Firstly, a document with plural originals is placed on the support tray and inserted into the entrance. Then, a selected original of the document is transported. When the selected original is detected by the front-row detector, the plural rear-row detectors are powered on. The selected original is continuously transported, and the plural rear-row detectors are operated in a detection mode. Then, a size of the selected original is determined according to detection results of the plural rear-row detectors and a transfer time of the selected original.

An identification system can facilitate accurate identification of a sheet by (i) vacating one or more components of the system that are not the sheet from a zone of detection, and/or (ii) determining a reference axis of the sheet. An isolation system can facilitate accurate isolation of a sheet by (i) providing targeted air flow, and/or (ii) introducing a wave into the sheet. Identification systems and/or isolation systems described herein may facilitate isolation of sheets that were previously fastened together by one or more fasteners. An alignment system can facilitate accurate alignment of a first sheet at an upstream location relative to a second sheet at a downstream location via machine learning.
