An embodiment method includes: acquiring a uniform resource identifier URI of a first picture selected by a user; acquiring a URI of a picture to be buffered in accordance with the URI of the first picture; and sending the URI of the first picture and the URI of the picture to be buffered to a media renderer, so that the media renderer acquires the first picture according to the URI of the first picture, and displays the first picture, and acquires, the picture to be buffered in accordance with the URI of the picture to be buffered, and buffers the picture to be buffered.

A digital camera comprises an image-capturing unit that captures an image of a photographic subject and acquires image data, a communication unit for sending and receiving electronic mail data including image data, a recording control unit that records the image data acquired by the image-capturing unit as photographed image data upon a recording medium, an email for sending creation unit that creates an email for sending, to which is attached an image based upon the photographed image data recorded upon the recording medium, and an email address setting unit that sets an email address as the destination of the email for sending. The email for sending creation unit creates a title or a text of the email for sending, based upon at least one of the photographed image data and the email address that has been set.

A surveillance camera and image data storage system and method are disclosed. The system includes a network of surveillance cameras that generate image data and a storage allocation system implemented at the level of the individual surveillance cameras. The storage allocation system enables the surveillance cameras to distribute storage of their image data across one or more surveillance cameras having excess local storage available within the surveillance cameras. In one embodiment, a primary surveillance camera of the storage allocation system exchanges messages with the other cameras functioning as secondary surveillance cameras to determine the available and required storage resources of each of the cameras, and to store image data across the cameras in response to the determined available and required storage resources. The storage allocation system can also distribute storage of the image data of the cameras to a remote cloud storage system.

Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable control program instructions configured to, when executed, cause an information processing device to obtain an image file, store the image file in association with related information, generate a file path for the image file, the file path including a plurality of virtual directories based on the related information, the plurality of virtual directories belonging to respective different hierarchical layers, and in response to receiving, from browser program instructions stored in the information processing device, a request for one or more virtual directories belonging to a first lower layer that is hierarchically one level lower than a specified virtual directory in a top layer, retrieve and send the one or more virtual directories to the browser program instructions, thereby enabling the browser program instructions to display the retrieved one or more virtual directories belonging to the first lower layer.

A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.
