A communication system includes an information processing apparatus and a facsimile apparatus connected to the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus transmits, to the facsimile apparatus, first job information that includes a single piece of first image information and includes two or more pieces of address information that respectively indicate addresses of transmission destinations of the first image information. When the first job information is received from the information processing apparatus, based on the two or more pieces of address information that are included in the received first job information, the facsimile apparatus broadcasts the first image information by facsimile communication to the addresses indicated respectively by the two or more pieces of address information.

According to aspects of the present disclosures, an image scanning apparatus receives an inquiry for assignment information and, when the assignment information designates none of multiple destination candidates, transmits the assignment information indicating the same to a mobile terminal. When receiving, from the mobile terminal, an assignment request requesting to assign a server as a destination, the image scanning apparatus checks whether the assignment information designates none of the multiple destination candidates. When it is confirmed that the assignment information designates none of the multiple destination candidates, a state of the assignment information is changed to a state of designating a server as the destination of image data.

Methods and system are described for fax transmission distribution. In one embodiment, the electronic message receives, over a circuit-switched network, an incoming call signal that identifies a fax telephone number as an outbound address, where the fax telephone number is uniquely and permanently associated to a user. The device receives an incoming fax transmission associated with the incoming call signal, where the incoming fax transmission includes a fax message in a fax suitable format, where the fax message is associated with the user. The device transmits, over a computer network, an electronic message that includes the fax message and the fax telephone number to a destination address based on the fax telephone number.
