The switcher switches between first and second register modes when the function to be executed by using the data received by the receiver is copied into the image forming device. The first register mode is a mode in which a private box is manually registered in the image forming device. The second register mode is a mode in which a private box is automatically registered in the image forming device.

Provided is a printer connected to a management server via a network. The printer includes a storage control unit that, when an event occurs, stores in a storage unit event information indicating a content of the event that has occurred and time when the event occurs, and a transmission unit that push-transmits the event information stored in the storage unit to the management server. The storage control unit adds, to the event information, transmission information indicating whether the event information has been transmitted or has not been transmitted to the management server and stores the event information in the storage unit. Among the event information stored in the storage unit, the transmission unit push-transmits, to the management server, untransmitted event information to which transmission information indicating the event information has not been transmitted is added.

Methods and systems for an auditing infrastructure for an Internet fax service architecture are provided. According to one embodiment, information regarding an event, associated with a component of the Internet fax service architecture, that is to be logged, is received by a centralized audit logging module of the Internet fax service architecture. The component may be a web server, an email server, a fax server, a notification server or an imaging system. The information is utilized by the centralized audit logging module to determine specific parameters within the Internet fax service architecture to be logged. Finally, the event, including the information and the specific parameters, is recorded by the centralized audit logging module to an audit log associated with the Internet fax service architecture in a standardized format.

An image processing device including a reception unit, an acquisition unit, an image reading unit, and a transmission unit. The reception unit receives a processing identifier associated with image reading processing. The acquisition unit acquires processing information associated with the processing identifier, the processing information including at least information regarding a storing location. The image reading unit reads an image on the basis of the processing information. The transmission unit transmits data of the read image to the storing location according to the processing information.

The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.

In response to a determination to provide the first service, the first memory stores the first service identification information in the memory in association with the specific device identification information.
