An image forming apparatus comprises a reading unit that reads a document sheet, specifies image data of a comparison source document sheet, among image data of document sheets read by the reading unit; extracts a difference by comparing the image data of the specified comparison source document sheet, and image data of each of other document sheets included in the read document sheets; and creates a composite image by composing the extracted difference and the image data of the comparison source document sheet.

An information processing apparatus sets a color mode in place of a monochrome mode on condition that the monochrome mode and multiplexing of additional information on a print target image are set as print settings based on an input image data; generates, based on the input image data, color image data corresponding to printing in a color mode which represents a color of the monochromated print target image by a value of a color signal; performs, for the color image data generated by the generation unit, processing for multiplexing the additional information on the print target image; and causes a printing apparatus to print, in the color mode, a multiplexed image on which the additional information is multiplexed.

A multi-function peripheral includes a touch panel monitor. The touch panel monitor includes a display panel and a touch panel overlaid on the display panel. In a handwriting mode, an intermediate image corresponding to an original image is displayed on the display panel. When touch input to the touch panel is detected in this state, a touch image based on the touch input is superimposed on the original image, and a new image is generated.

Example implementations relate to emulating 3D texture patterns in a printer system. One example implementation determines a 3D texture pattern data having a number of pattern pixels at different heights and associated with respective surfaces of a corresponding 3D texture pattern. Luminance change data is determined for each pattern pixel depending on an angle between a normal vector of the respective surface and a simulated light vector. Image data is obtained having a number of image pixels and the luminance of each image pixel is adjusted depending on the luminance change data of a corresponding pattern pixel in order to generate an image with an emulated 3D texture pattern.

An image forming apparatus includes first and second processors controlling first and second image formers that form first and second images using color material having first and second color compositions, the second image to be superimposed on the first image; and a display displaying information. If an image formation instruction, including information indicating that the first and second images are to be superimposed is received, with a different image formation instruction being received, the first processor causes the first image former to form the first image in accordance with a first image formation instruction, corresponding to the first color composition, out of the image formation instruction and the different image formation instruction; and transmit to the second processor a second image formation instruction corresponding to the second color composition. The second processor causes the second image former to form the second image in accordance with the second image formation instruction.

An apparatus compares pieces of document image data with each other based on the result of a multi-cropping process and the result of an analysis of the document images and, if the pieces of document image data have the same date information and money amount information, determines that related pieces of data are present. In this way, the apparatus can easily prevent pieces of information related to the same transaction from redundantly registered in a system.

An image processing apparatus includes a first obtaining unit that obtains attribute information that specifies a process performed by an image forming apparatus in accordance with a print job including print data, a generation unit that generates a display image on the basis of the print data included in the print job, and a determination unit that determines a display color of a drawing area which corresponds to an area of a recording medium for printing the print data and in which a display image generated by the generation unit is to be disposed. If the attribute information specifies that a white color material be used, the determination unit determines the display color of the drawing area as a color other than white.

A diagnostic system may comprise an image forming apparatus that forms a diagnostic image on a sheet and an image capturing apparatus that captures an image of the sheet on which the diagnostic image is formed and which has been discharged from the image forming apparatus, and outputs the image captured as a sheet image. The image capturing apparatus may make a diagnosis for a component of the image forming apparatus based on a position of an image deficiency in the sheet image, and output a diagnosis result for the component of the image forming apparatus.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to receive designation of a person capable of stamping on plural stamping areas in a document having the plural stamping areas, and present a stamping area that is capable of being stamped by a printer who performs printing to the printer as a different state from states of other stamping areas in a case where the document is printed and a condition is satisfied, in which the printer is a person capable of stamping on at least one of the plural stamping areas and a corresponding stamping area is before a stamping work by another person capable of stamping, and not present the stamping area in a case where the condition is not satisfied.
