INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive a request to view a document, from a viewing user who views the document; obtain a document file having document information and specification information, the document information describing content of the document, the specification information including multiple figures disposed on the document, the figures having multiple format types, the figures being used to specify areas in the document; obtain user information describing the viewing user; and, in display of the document to the viewing user, determine hidden areas on the basis of a format type associated with the user information in advance, the hidden areas being in the document and being areas in which the content of the document is not displayed.
Image reading apparatus to manage transmission destination of input image
An image reading apparatus includes a first communication device provided communicatively with a first information processing apparatus, a second communication device provided communicatively with a second information processing apparatus, and a processor to receive a setting for a transmission destination of an input image, prohibit transmission of the input image via a communication device different from a communication device provided communicatively with the transmission destination, and determine whether the communication device provided communicatively with the transmission destination is in a state physically communicable with a network or an information processing apparatus. The processor permits transmission of the input image via the communication device different from the communication device provided communicatively with the transmission destination when it is determined that the communication device provided communicatively with the transmission destination is not in a state physically communicable with the network or the information processing apparatus.
Multispectral camera
A camera has two or more color elements that are removable and replaceable. The color elements may include a lens, a color filter with a filter data interface, and an image sensor. A security processor includes a private key, firmware, and has storage room for one or more vegetation indices. The security processor securely decrypts, stores, and uses the indices. Firmware checks license terms and installed filters required in a selected index, and analyzes images based on a formula in the index, thresholds for the index value, and thresholds for an object's height above ground level. A positioning receiver (e.g. GPS) determines time and position, which the firmware uses for the license check and for the height AGL calculation. Differences in camera position allow determining a parallax calculation on correlated groups of pixels. The camera provides on-the-fly analysis, and tags and stores images for which alert conditions are met.
SHREDDER SYSTEM
A read unit of a scanner device reads the information fixed to a medium by printing. A transmission control unit executes the control of transmitting, to a server, the information of the medium acquired in the form of digital image data. An information acquisition unit acquires the information transmitted from a shredder. An information management unit stores the information acquired by the information acquisition unit in an acquired information database in such a way as to be identified as the information of the medium so as to be managed to be capable of being read out as the information of the medium. An information readout unit acquires a readout indication transmitted from an observer terminal. Then, the information readout unit reads the information of the medium out of the acquired information database via the information management unit.
Document control based on copyright permission when printing compilation of works
A method for controlling copyright permissions when assembling multiple copyrighted works into a compiled file. The copyright permission level of each file is analyzed, either based on the copyright permission information present in metadata associated with the file or based on the digital file format of the file which reflects the permission level. The compiled file is assigned a permission level which is the same as or more restrictive than all of the permission level of the files in the compilation, and is generated in a format that enforces the assigned permission level. A notification may be displayed to the user to notify the use of the permission level assigned to the compiled file.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, TRANSFER SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing device includes a linker that links respective identification information of one or more persons and an object involved in a transfer established using a network, and an updater that updates the respective identification information for a subsequent transfer transaction.
Apparatus and Method for Displaying Content
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a set-top-box (STB) having a controller to join a multicast group having an associated multicast address, wherein the multicast address is associated with a first content type of a plurality of content types, access encoded content associated with the first content type from the multicast address, wherein the encoded content is transmitted by at least one source associated with the multicast group to the multicast address, decode the accessed encoded content, and display the decoded content on a channel mapped to the multicast address. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Image file communication system with tag information in a communication network
An image file recorded on a non-transitory computer readable recording medium is presented. The image file is readable by a transmitting device in communication with a plurality of transceiving devices. The image file includes electronic image data, and tag information including transmission route information for transmitting the image file to at least one of the plurality of transceiving devices.
MANAGING PRINTED DOCUMENTS IN A DOCUMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM
A printed document manager manages printed documents and is separate from a Document Management System (DMS) that manages electronic soft copy documents also known as source documents. Documents in a DMS repository are registered in a postmark registry by a registration agent. When a document that is registered in the postmark registry is printed, a graphical symbol referred to as a “postmark” is generated and inserted into the print stream so the postmark is printed on the hard copy of the document. The printed document is logged in a printed document store along with metadata associated with the printed document. The postmark on the printed document can be used for one or more purposes, such as to determine whether the printed document can be shredded after use and to determine whether the printed document is current.
Rights controlled communication
A computerized process is described for transferring content from a first entity to a second entity including first transferring separately and via a database entity for each content: a content identifier, content rights, a content encryption key, a content initialization vector, a content encryption count, and a first entity identifier. Included with the transferred content is a transfer identifier, which is encrypted. After transferred content is received by the second entity, the transfer identifier is used to retrieve the content rights, content encryption key, content encryption initialization vector, content encryption count, and first entity identifier from the database entity. After receiving the content, both actions taken on the content and disposition of the content at the second entity are controlled according to the content rights by the first entity and the status of the content is reported to the first entity via a database entity.
