The disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for protecting an image based on face recognition, the method including: recognizing, by a smart terminal, at least one face image in an image; setting, by the smart terminal, a protection flag for the image, and storing the image, upon determining that one of the at least one face image in the image matches successfully with one of face images in a protection list stored in the smart terminal, wherein the protection flag is configured to protect the image from accidental deletion.

An image management apparatus includes a memory, circuitry and a transmitter. The circuitry is configured to: generate a thumbnail image from each of captured images; store, in the memory, for each of the thumbnail images, thumbnail identification information for identifying the thumbnail image in association with related information relating to the captured image, the related information indicating one or more attributes of the captured image; transmit one or more thumbnail images of the thumbnail images stored in the memory to a communication terminal; and receive, from the communication terminal, a change request that requests to change a display of the screen to include a specific one or more thumbnail images each being associated with a specific attribute of the related information. The method includes obtaining an image to be processed and physical distance information corresponding to each pixel in the image; detecting a first area comprising a part of a photographed object in the image, obtaining physical distance information corresponding to a second area comprising the photographed object and obtaining physical distance information corresponding to a third area other than the second area in the image according to the physical distance information corresponding to each pixel and the first area; obtaining a blur parameter corresponding to the third area according to the physical distance information corresponding to the second area and the physical distance information corresponding to the third area; and performing a blurring processing on the third area according to the blur parameter.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an image blurring method, an electronic device, and a computer device. The method includes obtaining an image to be processed and physical distance information corresponding to each pixel in the image; detecting a first area comprising a part of a photographed object in the image, obtaining physical distance information corresponding to a second area comprising the photographed object and obtaining physical distance information corresponding to a third area other than the second area in the image according to the physical distance information corresponding to each pixel and the first area; obtaining a blur parameter corresponding to the third area according to the physical distance information corresponding to the second area and the physical distance information corresponding to the third area; and performing a blurring processing on the third area according to the blur parameter.

Disclosed is a technique for allowing proper classification information to be provided to an edited image. When it is determined that the editing is cropping, a system controller cuts a decompressed image down to a desired size using an image processor and performs face detection on a crop image. The system controller generates a header for image data of an edited image. When the setting of automatically providing classification information is ON, classification information is automatically provided based on the detected face information.
