Use of per-connection frequency bandwidth as basis for dynamic control of air-interface communication with dual-connected device
A method and system for controlling data split of a dual-connected user equipment device (UE) when the UE has at least two co-existing air-interface connections including a first air-interface connection with a first access node and a second air-interface connection with a second access node. An example method includes (i) comparing an aggregate frequency bandwidth of the first air-interface connection with an aggregate frequency bandwidth of the second air-interface connection, (ii) based at least on the comparing, establishing a split ratio that defines a distribution of data flow of the UE between at least the first air-interface connection and the second air-interface connection, and (iii) based on the establishing, causing the established split ratio to be applied. Further the method could include using the comparison as a basis to set one of the UE's air-interface connections as the UE's primary uplink path.
Allocating a physical radio resource for a nonguaranteed bit rate bearer in a distributed communications system
Allocating a physical radio resource for a non-guaranteed bit rate (non-GBR) bearer in a distributed communications system (DCS) is disclosed. More specifically, the method enables a radio circuit in a network node to divide the physical radio resource among a number of non-GBR quality-of-service (QoS) class identifiers (QCIs) based on a number of predetermined scheduling ratios, respectively. The radio circuit can be configured to dynamically rebalance physical radio resource allocation among the non-GBR QCIs such that the network node can maintain the predetermined scheduling ratios or respond to a reconfiguration of the predetermined scheduling ratios among the non-GBR QCIs. As a result, a network operator(s) can dynamically adjust physical radio resource allocation among the non-GBR QCIs based on, for example, subscribers' network usage and plan limits, thus making it possible for the network operator(s) to customize QoS configuration to enable differentiated non-GBR services.
Policy control for multiple accesses
A wireless device sends a registration request message to an access and mobility management function (AMF) of a network. The wireless device receives, from the AMF, a registration accept message comprising an access traffic steering, switching, and splitting (ATSSS) capability indication of the network.
METHODS FOR BUFFER STATUS REPORTING IN MULTIPLE CONNECTIVITY AND RELATED APPARATUS
A method performed by a user device having a multiple connectivity configuration with a plurality of radio links to a plurality of network nodes in a radio communication network is provided. The user device can determine a change occurred in an amount of uplink data available for transmission in a first uplink buffer of the user device on a first radio link of a plurality of radio link to first network node. Responsive to the change, the user device can trigger a buffer status report for transmission to a second network node of the plurality of network nodes on a second radio link of the plurality of radio links for which a change in an amount of uplink data available for transmission in a second uplink buffer was not determined. A method performed by the first network node is also provided.
DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A method for transmitting data includes generating a plurality of first data frames based on the same type of data content, wherein the plurality of first data frames have the same traffic identifier (TID), and the plurality of first data frames having the same TID have the same access media priority in a plurality of transmission links; and transmitting the plurality of first data frames having the same TID using the plurality of transmission links. An apparatus for performing the method may include a terminal in a wireless communication network.
Methods for Generating Application For Radio-Access-Network Servers with Heterogeneous Accelerators
Systems and methods are provided for offloading a task from a central processor in a radio access network (RAN) server to one or more heterogeneous accelerators. For example, a task associated with one or more operational partitions (or a service application) associated with processing data traffic in the RAN is dynamically allocated for offloading from the central processor based on workload status information. One or more accelerators are dynamically allocated for executing the task, where the accelerators may be heterogeneous and my not comprise pre-programming for executing the task. The disclosed technology further enables generating specific application programs for execution on the respective heterogeneous accelerators based on a single set of program instructions. The methods automatically generate the specific application programs by identifying common functional blocks for processing data traffic and mapping the functional blocks to the single set of program instructions to generate code native to the respective accelerators.
Electronic device, method, and medium for backhaul network
An electronic device for a backhaul network, wherein the backhaul network comprises a first communication apparatus connected to a core network and a plurality of second communication apparatuses performing wireless communication with the first communication apparatus, includes: processing circuitry configured to perform control to cause the first communication apparatus comprising the electronic device to: operate as a primary donor; select at least one second communication apparatus of the plurality of second communication apparatuses as a secondary donor; transmit a first indicating signal to the selected at least one second communication apparatus, the first indicating signal comprising node type information indicating the secondary donor; transmit a second indicating signal to a second communication apparatus that are not selected, the second indicating signal comprising node type information indicating a member node.
Data packet processing method, network traffic management method, apparatus, and system
A data packet processing method, a terminal, and a gateway, where the terminal, determines to transmit network traffic using a first network and a second network simultaneously based on an aggregation flow table, and upon that determination, the terminal sends a quantity of first uplink data packets to the gateway using a first network interface card corresponding to the first network, and sends a quantity of second uplink data packets belonging to the same Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection as the first uplink data packets to the gateway using a second network interface card corresponding to the second network, where a source Internet Protocol (IP) address carried in each of the first uplink data packets is the IP address of the first network interface card, and a source IP address carried in each of the second uplink data packets is the IP address of the second network interface card.
