Transmission of group handover message

Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for enabling an efficient group handover mechanism that has less signaling overhead than single UE handover are provided. An example method at a base station includes transmitting a group handover request for the group of UEs to a target base station. The method further includes receiving a group handover acknowledgment from the target base station. The method further includes transmitting a group handover message to the group of UEs.

Method and apparatus for provisioning physical signals and channels in a wireless network

Provisioning and communicating physical signals and channels in NR networks having a first subset of transmit and receive points that use a first cell ID and a second subset of transmit and receive points that use a second cell ID. Operations include transmitting from, and receiving from, a first transmit and receive point a first signal or channel wherein the first signal or channel is based on a first user equipment (UE) specific parameter assigned via the first subset of transmit and receive points and transmitting from, and receiving from, the first transmit and receive point the plurality of transmit and receive points a second signal or channel wherein the second signal or channel is based on a second UE specific parameter assigned via the second subset of transmit and receive points. A transmit and receive point and a UE for implementing the operations are also disclosed.

Enhanced context transfer of an integrated access and backhaul node

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. a first donor node may serve a relay node, which in turn may serve a child node. The first donor node may determine to transfer (e.g., via a handover procedure) the relay node to a second donor node. The first donor node may transmit a first context transfer request for the relay node to the second donor node, and may transmit a second context transfer request for the child node of the relay node to the second donor node. The first donor node may indicate a correlation between the two context transfers. The second donor node may identify the correlated context transfers, and may successfully perform a migration procedure for the relay node and any descendent devices or nodes based on the correlated context transfers.

COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE, COMMUNICATIONS NODES IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICAITONS NETWORK AND METHODS

A method of operating a source node of a wireless network for controlling handover of a device from the source node to a target node of the wireless network is provided. The method comprises selecting, by the source node, to handover the device from the source node to the target node at a future time on a basis of a predicted location of the device at the future time; transmitting, by the source node, a pre-configuration message to the device including a configuration for the handover of the device from the source node to the target node at the future time; and arranging, by the source node, for the device to receive a trigger instructing the device to handover from the source node to the target node at the future time.

Embodiments herein relate to, for example, a method performed by a first radio network node (12) for handling communication in a wireless communications network. The first radio network node receives from a second radio network node (15), an indication indicating whether handover or cell reselection to the second radio network node is confirmed or not, wherein the indication indicates whether a migrating node and/or one or more other nodes, directly and indirectly served by the migrating node, are accepted or cancelled for handover or cell reselection to the second radio network node (15). The first radio network node further determines to cancel handover or cell reselection of a subset of the one or more other nodes based the received indication.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MAINTAINING BROADCAST SERVICE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS

Aspects described herein relate to communicating with one or more cells for receiving a broadcast service, and providing broadcast service continuity in device mobility scenarios. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) can transmit a broadcast service interest indication to a serving cell to facilitate receiving the broadcast service during mobility to provide the broadcast service continuity.

DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS

A data transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: a source access network device that receives an end marker from a core network device through a transmission tunnel of a PDU session of a first terminal device, where the PDU session is associated with a first multicast/broadcast service; and in response to the end marker, the source access network device determines, based on the association between the PDU session and the first multicast/broadcast service, that the end marker acts on the first multicast/broadcast service of the first terminal device, to stop sending data of the first multicast/broadcast service to a target access network device through a forwarding tunnel of the first terminal device.

System and method for sidelink resource allocation in user equipment groups

Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and systems for sidelink resource allocation in user equipment (UE) groups. The method includes, receiving, by a UE, from a radio access network (RAN) node, a first resource configuration message including configuration information for sidelink resources indicated by a sidelink resource grant and conditions for using sidelink resources of the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes receiving, from a second UE of the UE group, a second sidelink resource configuration message, the second sidelink resource configuration message including an activation indicator to activate at least a portion of the sidelink resources indicated by the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes determining the sidelink resources to be used for sidelink transmissions by combining the first and second sidelink resource configuration messages. The method further includes using the determined sidelink resources for data transmissions.

Handling Communication

Embodiments herein relate to, for example, a method performed by a first radio network node (12) for handling communication in a wireless communications network. The first radio network node (12) transmits a message related to handover or cell reselection of a migrating node to a second radio network node (15), wherein the message comprises data associated with the migrating node and data related to one or more other nodes directly and indirectly served by the migrating node.
