SUPPORTING SWITCHING BETWEEN BASE STATIONS THAT PROVIDE MULTICAST AND BROADCAST SERVICE
A multicast and broadcast service (MBS) switching method includes acquiring, by a base station serving a user equipment, capability information of other base stations for an MBS, the capability information indicating whether the MBS is supported by each of the other base stations. The method further includes determining, according to the capability information of the other base stations for the MBS, whether a first base station of the other base stations supports the MBS in response to a determination to switch the MBS of the user equipment to the first base station. The method further includes initiating an MBS switching request to the first base station in response to a determination that the first base station supports the MBS, the MBS switching request indicating to switch the MBS of the user equipment from the base station serving the user equipment to the first base station.
DEVICE SWITCHING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND DEVICE AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A device switching method is applied to a terminal device, and includes: determining a device switching situation of switching between a source access network device and a target access network device by taking an artificial intelligence (AI) computing power factor value of at least one access network device of the source access network device and the target access network device as an offset parameter.
CELL SELECTION METHOD, PAGING METHOD, AND APPARATUS
A cell selection method includes obtaining measurement results of N cells. The cell selection method also includes obtaining cell selection assistance information. The cell selection assistance information includes identifiers of L slices corresponding to M sessions of a terminal device and slice capability information of the N cells, the slice capability information of the N cells includes identifiers of slices supported by the N cells, and M, L, and N are positive integers. The cell selection method further includes performing cell selection or cell reselection based on the measurement results of the N cells and the cell selection assistance information.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PRUNING NEW RADIO CELLS THAT DO NOT SUPPORT VOICE OVER NEW RADIO FROM A MEASUREMENT REPORT
An apparatus for wireless communication of a UE is disclosed. The apparatus may initiate, at a new radio (NR) serving cell, a voice session with an IMS. The apparatus may perform, in response to determining that voice over NR (VoNR) is not supported by the first NR cell, an EPS fallback procedure to establish the voice session with the IMS. The apparatus may update a whitelist of NR cells that support VoNR to include the first NR cell when it is determined that the first NR cell supports VoNR.
CELL CAMPING METHOD, RELATED DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present disclosure provides a cell camping method, a related device, and a storage medium. The cell camping method includes: determining, by a network device, a cell where a terminal is camping and a corresponding camping state, the terminal being a terminal that supports a Non-Standalone networking (NSA) function; and transmitting a first indication to the terminal when the terminal is camping on a first cell and is in an idle state, the first indication indicating to the terminal that a reselection priority of the first cell is a first priority. The first priority is higher than or equal to a second priority, the second priority is a reselection priority of a second cell, and the first cell is an NSA anchor cell.
NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORK COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a non-terrestrial network (non-terrestrial network, NTN) communication method and an apparatus, to resolve the following problem: When performing a delay-sensitive communication service, UE may select a cell covered by a satellite since the UE cannot distinguish between a cell covered by a terrestrial base station and the cell covered by the satellite. The method includes: A first network device determines cell type information of a cell covered by a second network device, where the cell type information indicates that the cell is a terrestrial network communication cell or a non-terrestrial network communication cell; and the first network device sends the cell type information to a third network device.
ENDC HANDOVER MOBILITY SYSTEM
A method includes determining whether user equipment (UE) in a telecommunication network is configured to support evolved universal terrestrial radio access network dual connectivity (ENDC). Responsive to the UE being determined as configured to support the ENDC determining whether a source cell and a target cell are configured to support the ENDC. Performing on processing circuitry a first mobility modification in response to determining the source cell is an ENDC source cell and the target cell is a non-ENDC target cell. Performing on the processing circuitry a second mobility modification in response to determining the target cell is an ENDC target cell and the source cell is a non-ENDC source cell. The second mobility modification is different from the first mobility modification. Performing a handover from the source cell to the target cell in response to both the source cell and the target cell being configured for ENDC or non-ENDC.
REDUCED CAPABILITY USER EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that a cell associated with the base station does not support reduced capability UEs, wherein the UE is capable of operating in a first mode that is associated with reduced capability UEs and a second mode that is not associated with reduced capability UEs. The UE may communicate, in the second mode, with the base station to establish a connection with the cell based at least in part on at least one of: the UE supporting one or more capabilities associated with connecting with the cell, or no cells that support reduced capability UEs being available. Numerous other aspects are described.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MOBILITY MANAGEMENT
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a mobility management service is provided. The service may evaluate geospatial, performance metric, and neighbor criteria data relating to overlap areas between source cells and candidate target cells. The service may calculate composite values for each candidate target cell and select the candidate target cell based on the composite value. The service may manage the mobility of end devices and associated mobility procedures on a sub-sector, sector, cell, and cluster of cell level. The service may reconfigure network devices and the end device to satisfy optimization, healing, and site planning measures.
INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND NETWORK DEVICE
The present application relates to an information processing method, a terminal device, and a network device. The method includes: processing, by the terminal device, identity information of a first network slice and/or identity information of the terminal device to perform an access procedure.
