NETWORK REGISTRATION METHOD FOR TRAFFIC STEERING AND DEVICE SUPPORTING THE SAME
A network registration method for traffic steering and a device supporting the same is provided. An Access and mobility Management Function (AMF) receives a registration request message from a UE over a second non-3rd Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) access. The registration request message includes information related to access witching from a first non-3GPP access to the second non-3GPP access. Based on the registration request message, the AMF i) performs a normal registration procedure, and ii) delays a Unified Data Management (UDM) registration procedure. In addition, upon receiving, from a Session Management Function (SMF), information informing that the access switching from the first non-3GPP access to the second non-3GPP access is completed for the UE, the AMF performs an Access Network (AN) release procedure over the first non-3GPP access, performs the delayed UDM registration procedure.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE MOUNTED ON VEHICLE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREFOR
A communication device mounted on a vehicle and an operation method of the communication device are provided. The communication device performs a connection with a communication terminal included in a vehicle stopped or driving in a vicinity of the vehicle via device-to-device communication, provide subscriber identity module (SIM) information to the connected communication terminal, request execution of a communication relay function from the communication terminal, and in response to a communication relay function acceptance signal being received from the communication terminal, transmit and receive data to and from the base station by using the communication terminal as a communication relay.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
This application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method may include: A cell in a first frequency range determines to enter an energy saving state. A terminal device accesses a cell in a second frequency range through cell selection. When the terminal device needs to enter the cell in the first frequency range, the cell in the second frequency range assists the terminal device in accessing the cell in the first frequency range. In this application, energy saving can be implemented through assistance between a plurality of cells. For example, the cell in the first frequency range may enter the energy saving state. Communication performance can be ensured. For example, the cell in the second frequency range may assist the terminal device in accessing the cell in the first frequency range in the energy saving state.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A communication apparatus includes a communication unit that performs data communication via an external communication network and a control unit. The control unit performs switching processing related to data communication by the communication unit on the basis of situation determination processing.
mmWave to Wi-Fi control signal offloading in the event of fading in the mmWave system
Methods and systems are provided for signal offloading in an mmWave environment in the event of high fading. The methods and systems include one or more mmWave nodes that are each configured to wirelessly communicate with a user device in a geographic service area and a Wi-Fi access point configured to wirelessly communicate with the user device. The methods and systems determine that the user device has detected a fading measurement corresponding to an mmWave transmitted by one of the one or more mmWave nodes is above a threshold. In response to the fading measurement being above the threshold, the methods and systems redirect a control signal of the user device through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes. Accordingly, the user device transmit data through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes.
SESSION MANAGEMENT METHOD
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method by which a network control node performs communication. The method comprises the steps of: determining whether to request, from a network function (NF), control for a network slice on the basis of a session, which is managed by a network control node, being related to an interworking procedure and on the basis of the network slice being controlled by a provider policy set in the network control node, the network slice being related to the session; transmitting a control request message for the network slice to the NF, on the basis of the determination that the network control node requests control for the network slice; and receiving a response message from the NF, wherein the response message includes information about whether the session is available in the network slice.
NETWORK SEARCH METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
This disclosure provides network search methods and electronic devices. One method includes: A terminal device accesses a network of a first communications radio access technology (RAT), determines that a network anomaly occurs, where the network anomaly includes: no network or a fall into a lower RAT and searches for a network of a target communications RAT, where the target communications RAT is a communications RAT that is not lower than the first communications RAT; and the terminal device is connected to the network of the target communications RAT.
Method and Device for Switching Internet Access mode of Gateway Device
The present disclosure provides a method and a device for switching an Internet access mode of a gateway device. The method includes that: a DNS detection domain name is acquired, the DNS detection domain name being a predefined domain name; at least according to the DNS detection domain name, it is determined whether an EWAN connection is online, the EWAN connection being a network connection of the gateway device in an EWAN mode; and in a case that the EWAN connection is offline, the Internet access mode of the gateway device is switched to an LTE mode.
CELL RESELECTION METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Cell reselection methods, a terminal, a network equipment, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are provided. The method includes: receiving indication information, where the indication information is configured to indicate the priorities of respective network types; and performing cell reselection based on the indication information.
mmWAVE TO WI-FI CONTROL SIGNAL OFFLOADING IN THE EVENT OF FADING IN THE mmWAVE SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for signal offloading in an mmWave environment (e.g., in the event of high fading). The methods and systems include one or more mmWave nodes that are each configured to wirelessly communicate with a user device in a geographic service area and a Wi-Fi access point configured to wirelessly communicate with the user device. The methods and systems determine that fading or loading of an mmWave signal transmitted by one of the one or more mmWave nodes is above a threshold. In response to the fading or loading being above the threshold, the methods and systems redirect a control signal of the user device through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes, such that the user device maintains a dual connection with the Wi-Fi access point via the control signal and the mmWave node.
