ELECTRIC HEATER FOR HEATING A SUBSTANCE IN A MOTOR VEHICLE
An electric heater for heating a substance, in particular for a tank for a system for reducing the environmental pollution of a motor vehicle; the electric heater comprising a metal sheet adapted to generate heat when it is crossed by an electric current; two polymeric layers between which the metal sheet is arranged; at least one PTC layer, having a positive temperature coefficient, which at least partially coats the metal sheet; wherein the two polymeric layers are hermetically sealed to each other, defining a casing which prevents the substance to be heated from coming into contact with the metal sheet; wherein said at least one PTC layer has a thickness from 5 to 50 μm; wherein said metal sheet is in contact, in particular directly in contact, with both the polymeric layers.
WORKSTATION FOR FILM-PROCESSING PACKAGING MACHINE
A workstation for a film-processing packaging machine defines a film transport plane in which the packaging film can be transported. In addition, the workstation comprises an electrically operable heating assembly. The latter in turn comprises an electrically conductive planar resistance heating element which in a plane parallel to the film transport plane has dimensions that are greater by a factor of at least 5, preferably at least 10, than in a direction perpendicular to the film transport plane. The resistance heating element is arranged between a heating plate and a clamping plate. The disclosure also relates to a packaging machine with such a workstation and to a method for operating such a workstation.

PTC heating element and an electric heating device
A PTC heating element has two insulating layers with a metallic coating provided on one side and a PTC element arranged therebetween. The PTC element is provided on oppositely disposed main side surfaces with a respective metallization which is electrically conductively connected to the coating of one of the insulating layers The metallization provided on one of the main side surfaces is assigned only to one potential for energizing the PTC element, and the metallization provided on the other of the main side surfaces is only assigned to the other potential for energizing the PTC element, as well as an electric heating device containing such a PTC heating element. With regard to better heat decoupling, the insulating layer may be glued to the PTC element, and the coating of the insulating layers is in direct electrically conductive contact with the metallization of the PTC element.
Method for entropy-encoding slice segment and apparatus therefor, and method for entropy-decoding slice segment and apparatus therefor
Provided are entropy encoding and entropy decoding for video encoding and decoding. The video entropy decoding method includes: determining a bin string and a bin index for a maximum coding unit that is obtained from a bitstream; determining a value of a syntax element by comparing the determined bin string with bin strings that is assignable to the syntax element in the bin index; storing context variables for the maximum coding unit when the syntax element is a last syntax element in the maximum coding unit, a dependent slice segment is includable in a picture in which the maximum coding unit is included, and the maximum coding unit is a last maximum coding unit in a slice segment; and restoring symbols of the maximum coding unit by using the determined value of the syntax element.
STAGE, FILM-FORMING APPARATUS OR FILM-PROCESSING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE STAGE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TEMPERATURE OF SUBSTRATE
Disclosed is a stage including a shaft, a first supporting plate over the shaft, a heater arranged in a trench formed in the first supporting plate, and a gas-supplying tube arranged in the shaft and configured to blow a gas to the first supporting plate. The first supporting plate may have a disk shape, and a cross section of the gas-supplying tube parallel to a surface of the first supporting plate may overlap a center of the disk shape. The first supporting plate may be configured to block the gas so that the gas is not released to a chamber in which the stage is arranged.
