Temperature-regulating appliance with removable base
A temperature-regulating appliance includes a top portion, a base, and a mounting adapter. The top portion has an upper surface and a lower surface. The top portion is configured to be mounted to a countertop. The base includes a housing defining an internal compartment and a thermal element disposed within the internal compartment of the housing. The mounting adapter extends from the lower surface of the top portion to the housing. The mounting adapter detachably couples the base to the top portion.
INDUCTIVE COOKTOP COIL AND DISPLAY SYSTEM
An inductive cooktop includes a transparent panel that supports a cookware object. An electrically actuated panel, such as a display panel, is disposed below the transparent panel. The electrically actuated panel includes two sets of lines, such as data and scan lines, disposed orthogonal to each other to form a two-dimensional matrix that is configured to operate associated elements with an addressing scheme. An array of induction coils are disposed below the electrically actuated panel that are each operable to generate an electromagnetic field that inductively couples with the cookware object supported at the transparent panel. The induction coils are operable to generate an electromagnetic field with a flux direction in general parallel alignment with one set of lines, such as the data lines, to prevent the electromagnetic field from inducing a voltage on the lines.
Cookware with metal mesh embedded in the base
Cookware has both as copper and a stainless steel mesh embedded in the exterior facing surface of the bottom of the base. The embedding process work hardens the bottom of an aluminum cooper vessel. A ferromagnetic stainless steel is embedded into the cooper mesh, forming portion of the exterior bottom surface of the cookware to render the cookware compatible with induction cooking heat sources.
LIGHT SOURCE UNIT AND COOKING APPLIANCE INCLUDING THE SAME
A light source module and a cooking appliance including the same may include a light source emitting light toward a glass top plate, a light source guide to accommodate the light source, including a light transmitting path formed in the light source guide, and limit a light irradiation region so as to guide light emitted from the light source to a light display region of the glass to plate through the light transmitting path, and an attachment bracket provided between the light source guide and the glass top plate, the attachment bracket having an optical emission path to allow light to pass from the light transmitting path and the light display region.
INDUCTION COOKING APPLIANCE
An induction cooktop apparatus includes an inductor, an insulating layer unit electrically insulating the inductor, and a detection coil for object recognition, said detection coil connected to the insulating layer.
INDUCTION WARMER STATION
An induction warmer station includes a housing, a cooktop coupled to the housing, an induction coil positioned in the housing adjacent the cooktop, and a controller configured to adjust the frequency of a current input to the induction coil based on an indication of a response of an output current from the induction coil to a change in surface area of load material placed on the cooktop.
INDUCTIVE COOKTOP SYSTEM WITH DISPLAY INTERFACE
An inductive cooktop system includes a top plate that has a top surface for supporting a cookware object. A display is disposed below the top plate, and induction coils are arranged in a matrix and disposed vertically below the display. The induction coils are each operable to generate a magnetic field that partially extends above the top surface of the top plate to couple with the cookware object. A control system receives an initial input indicating a position of the cookware object on the top surface of the top plate. Data processing hardware of the control system then determines the pixels of the display corresponding to the indicated position from the input. The control system then generates a graphic at the indicated position for the cookware object by illuminating the plurality of pixels of the display.
CERAMIC GLASS AND COOKTOP USING THE SAME
A ceramic glass for cooktop includes a glass material having an uneven layer formed on an upper surface of the glass material. A color difference meter value L of the ceramic glass ranges from 90 to 100. The glass material includes Li.sub.2O, Al.sub.2O.sub.3, and SiO.sub.2. A heat shock temperature of the ceramic glass ranges from 525° C. to 575° C. The ceramic glass implements a surface roughness Ra of 0.1 μm or less and surface roughness Rz of 0.8 μm or less through a polishing operation. The surface roughness Ra corresponds to an average length between at least one peak of the uneven layer and at least one valley of the uneven layer. The surface roughness Rz corresponds to a vertical distance between the at least one peak of the uneven layer and the at least one valley of the uneven layer.
ELECTRIC RANGE PROVIDING SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS ACCORDING TO GESTURE OF USER
Disclosed is an electric range which provides specific functions according to the gestures of a user. When an object to be heated that is currently being heated is moved to a different spot, the electric range determines in what way the object to be heated has been moved, and provides a specific function corresponding to the determined way of movement.
HOB APPARATUS
A hob apparatus includes a heating unit, a sensor unit separate from the heating unit and configured to include an electric resonant circuit and to detect a sensor signal, and a control unit configured to control the sensor unit and to analyze the sensor signal. The control unit determines in an operating state a state variable relating to the heating unit based on a phase shift and/or an amplitude ratio between the sensor signal and a further signal.
