Microwave processing device
A microwave treatment apparatus includes a treatment chamber, a microwave supply, and a resonator unit. The treatment chamber is surrounded by a plurality of walls, and accommodates a heating target. The microwave supply supplies a microwave to the treatment chamber. The resonator unit is provided on one wall of the plurality of walls, and the resonator unit has a resonance frequency in a frequency band of the microwave. In this embodiment, the impedance of the surface of the resonator unit can be changed by controlling the frequency of the microwave supplied to the treatment chamber. This makes it possible to control the standing wave distribution within the treatment chamber, that is, the microwave energy distribution within the treatment chamber. As a result, in the cases where a plurality of heating targets need to be heated simultaneously, desired dielectric heating is conducted for each of the heating targets.

Wherein, the method for regulating the temperature of the magnetron includes: determining an anode current flowing through the magnetron or an input power of a variable-frequency power supply or an anode voltage applied to two ends of the magnetron, the input power or an output power of the variable-frequency power supply being configured to drive the magnetron to operate; regulating the output power of the variable-frequency power supply according to the anode current or the input power or the anode voltage.
Apparatus for microwave hyperthermia
Provided is a device for microwave hyperthermia that may attach a flexible patch on the skin of a user based on a cross-section of a body tissue of the user, for example, a joint and muscle of a leg and an arm and may emit microwaves towards a plurality of points of the body tissue through the patch. The microwaves emitted toward the body tissue may have the same phase and maximum power. Accordingly, a maximum heat generation point may be generated in an area adjacent to the plurality of points. The device for microwave hyperthermia may move the maximum heat generation point by sequentially changing a phase and a direction of each of the microwaves. The device for microwave hyperthermia may uniformly distribute and maintain heat for treating pain and/or infection over the entire cross-section or a partial area. The device for microwave hyperthermia may be portable.
Adaptive power control of a microwave oven for coexistence with wireless networks
A household appliance includes: a magnetron for generating microwaves during operation; a power supply unit; and a controller for specifying to the power supply unit a power level for the operation of the magnetron. The controller temporarily reduces, in a coexistence mode, the power level specified to the power supply unit for the operation of the magnetron in a manner that reduces or prevents disturbance of communication in a wireless network using beacon frames due to the microwaves generated by the magnetron.

The microwave heating unit includes (i) a sample holding and exposing unit configured to receive and hold a sample in a holding and exposing space and to expose the sample to a microwave radiation field within said holding and exposing space, (ii) a microwave radiation generating and/or releasing unit configured to release the microwave radiation field to said holding and exposing space, and (iii) an impedance matching unit configured to achieve impedance matching between the holding and exposing space and the microwave radiation field.
Apparatus and methods for detecting defrosting operation completion
A defrosting system includes an RF signal source, an electrode proximate to a cavity within which a load to be defrosted is positioned, and a transmission path between the RF signal source and the electrode. The system also includes power detection circuitry coupled to the transmission path and configured repeatedly to take forward and reflected RF power measurements along the transmission path. A system controller repeatedly determines, based on the forward and reflected RF power measurements, a calculated rate of change, and repeatedly compares the calculated rate of change to a threshold rate of change. When the calculated rate of change compares favorably with the threshold rate of change, the RF signal source continues to provide the RF signal to the electrode until a determination is made that the defrosting operation is completed, at which time the RF signal source ceases to provide the RF signal to the electrode.
