Apparatuses, Systems, and Methods for Heating with Electromagnetic Waves
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for heating a fluid or other material. The apparatuses may include a container (e.g., tube) in which a susceptor material is disposed. The susceptor material may convert microwave energy to heat, which may increase the temperature of a fluid or material in or adjacent the tube.
REFRIGERATION DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR
The present disclosure provides a refrigeration device including a circuit having an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion valve orderly connected by a refrigerant flow path. The refrigeration device further includes a first sensor to sense ambient temperature, second sensor to sense evaporator inlet temperature, a microwave module disposed proximal to the evaporator to generate microwaves, and a controller coupled to the first sensor, the second sensor and the microwave module. The controller determines whether a difference in temperature value between the ambient temperature and the evaporator inlet temperature is equal to or greater than a first predetermined temperature value, and initiates operation of the microwave module to heat an inlet of the evaporator when the difference in temperature value between the ambient temperature and the evaporator inlet temperature is equal to or greater than the first predetermined temperature value.
SYSTEM & METHOD FOR THE RAPID AGING OF A DISTILLED ETHYL ALCOHOL WITH RF ENERGY AND WOOD MATERIAL SUPPORTING PLATFORM
Provided is a system and method for rapid aging of distilled ethyl alcohol. The system includes a vessel with at least one aperture for introducing RF energy at a preselected frequency to be absorbed by opaque material in a target area; at least one liquid circulating system; and a platform to substantially contain a plurality of units of wood as the opaque material. Each unit of wood has a plurality of capillaries containing at least wood sugar and resin. The system has a wood agitation system to move the wood through the target area. An RF generator provides constant RF energy at the predetermined frequency to induce oscillation of molecules within the wood. The system has an oxygenator to provide oxygen into the liquid mixture and outgas congeners from the liquid, the vessel further providing at least one vent structured and arranged to vent the outgassed congeners.
Modular electromagnetic heating system
Systems and methods including modular electromagnetic heating systems enable heating of articles using electromagnetic energy. The systems include a primary processing vessel equipped with electromagnetic energy launchers and fluid delivery systems to enable capable of preheating, heating, and cooling of the articles within the primary processing vessel. The primary processing vessel is further configured to be coupled to one or more upstream or downstream vessels such that portions of the preheating and/or heating functionality may instead be performed by the additional vessels. This flexibility enables scaling of the electromagnetic heating system between a relatively small (e.g., lab) scale system and a relatively large (e.g., production) scale system while minimizing capital expenditures and space requirements.
Apparatus and method for heating frying oil with solid-state RF energy technology
The present invention relates to a processing apparatus, in which a flying oil is heated, disinfected and/or pasteurized, sterilized. The present invention further relates to a method to treat a flying oil with radio-frequency wave.
Distillation Apparatus And Method For Extraction Of Volatile Components From Biological Material, Especially From Plants
The invention refers to a distillation apparatus (100) for extraction of volatile components from biological material (50), especially from plants, comprising a housing (10) defining a sample chamber (S), a drum (30) arranged in the sample chamber (S), the drum (30) defining a receiving chamber (R) for receiving the biological material (50), and at least one microwave generator (70) for irradiating the biological material (50) with microwave radiation when received in the drum (30); wherein the drum (30) is rotatably arranged in the sample chamber (S) about a rotation axis (H) which is oriented substantially horizontally.
HEATER USING MICROWAVE ENERGY

Radiofrequency pump inlet electric heater
The present invention reduces viscosity of highly viscous materials before entering a pump inlet by applying radio-frequency heating to the volume of material in a cage of rods that serve as electrodes surrounding a perforated inlet conduit. Applications include heavy hydrocarbonaceous materials such as tar and pitch in reservoirs, and sludge accumulating within oil storage tanks, ships, and barges. A mixer can be added to aid the process.
Sous vide feature in a microwave oven
A microwave oven may include a temperature sensor to sense temperature in a cooking cavity, and a controller that can initiate a sous vide cooking cycle in response to user input after placement of a sous vide container (with a water bath and a food item to be cooked inside) into the cooking cavity, monitor a temperature of the water bath contained by the sous vide container during the cooking cycle using the temperature sensor, and control the microwave cooking element in response to the monitored temperature.
