The present disclosure relates to a dielectric substrate that may include a polyimide layer and a first filled polymer layer overlying the polyimide layer. The first filled polymer layer may include a resin matrix component, and a first ceramic filler component. The first ceramic filler component may include a first filler material. The first filler material may further have a mean particle size of at not greater than about 10 microns.

The dianhydride includes pyromellitic dianhydride, the diamine includes a benzimidazole, the molar ratio of dianhydride monomer to diamine monomer is in a range of from 0.85:1 to 0.99:1, and the polyamic acid solution has a solids content in a range of from 10 to 25 weight percent and a viscosity in a range of from 300 to 3000 poise.

A polyimide film is a reaction product of a diamine component and an acid dianhydride component. The diamine component contains p-phenylenediamine, a first aromatic diamine, and a second aromatic diamine. The first aromatic diamine and the second aromatic diamine are different from each other and represented by the following formula (1):

In the diamine component, each of a molar fraction of the p-phenylenediamine, a molar fraction of the first aromatic diamine, and a molar fraction of the second aromatic diamine is 10% by mole or more and 70% by mole or less. The acid dianhydride component contains an acid dianhydride containing an aromatic ring.

Compositions and methods for amorphous high temperature polyketone polymers incorporating 2H-benzimidazol-2-one with dihalobenzophenone and bis(halobenzoyl)benzene as comonomer units are described herein. The polyketones polymers have advantageous properties, particularly in terms of high glass transition temperatures (T.sub.g), inherently flame resistance, good mechanical properties at elevated temperature, chemical resistance and dimensional stability in wet environment. The polymers are suitable for manufacturing high temperature molded systems and other articles of manufacture via injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, coating, blow molding, thermoforming, rotational molding and additive manufacturing.
